Maybe we can share that drink as suggested at the wind down, you buy the second round, I will get the third.

But I am not sharing my chicken rolls....hands off!

Hell I started the post, but knowing me, if you get enough kebabs on the plate and wine I might be tempted to keep the kids at the sandcastle club till 11:30! But by the time my younger one is ready the cost of this thing will be 50 which will be too much lol.
As an aside, went to pick up my daughter at the AKL kids club, they say, oh shes having fun and cookies are coming come back in ten, so I do. They end up charging me an extra half hour!

Kids....it never ends. My 16 year daughter drove to her job tonight (works a couple days a week at a fast food place) in my car. First time she has ever driven alone....if they are not taking your money they are worrying you about their safety.

We are not taking the kids to the wind down, they will go back to the BW and swim or what ever they want to do. It will be a nice break for my wife and I. Now if I did take them I could have their share of the booze I guess...... :)

Hmm victim card played, not seen that move before.

This is a Disney fan site, cant we have a filter that erases any post that doesnt comply with the basic premise of a fan site which is unquestioning support of Disney. All them negative waves is dampening the pixie dust, and its just not magical. IM pretty sure its what Walt would have wanted.

They should rename the park Boozecot. Just more reason to start avoiding this park. Took my kids for a week to WDW the first week of October 2012. Got into Soarin' at opening and the park was fine until about 1:00PM and then the drunks started showing up. Cussing, spilling beer on the ground, being obnoxious, etc. I don't see those pics on WDW's website showing a girl laying on the concrete laughing with a half-spilled beer in her hand while her male friend is squatting over her head and Disney's caption "Come enjoy the magic of the Beer & Wine Festival."

Or people punching and kicking and shoving each other for no reason, just so that they can hurt each other, after having too many drinks lol

Back when EPCOT was a 9pm/11pm schedule.

I have been to Epcot many times over the last decade and WS never closed at 11pm unless there was an EMH. These after hour events at EPCOT are not being offered on the EMH days....SO please check you info that says the WS used to be open until 11pm.

And yes an empty WS is a very quite romantic place to stroll through being able to enjoy the different countries scenery is amazing. DH & I did a segway of the WS (no longer offered) before opening and it was some of the best photos I have of the countries and for someone who enjoys photos immensely this is a great addition to my Sept DW trip.

Other than food and wine (which I think was only until 10 pm) and holiday periods, it has been a long time. We can excuse stalkingmickey for not remembering. This site's record of operating hours go back until 2009, and there is/was nothing past 9 pm listed except during F&W and holidays. If memory serves, it's been at least 8 years since there were hours later than 9 other than for special events/holidays.

It's been at least 15 years. I don't remember it being open past 9 on my CP back in 1999.

Has to have been less then 15. I distinctly remember being annoyed that FW was closing and boring WS was staying open. I want to ride rides, not see boring countries.

That was, of course, before I learned that the real purpose of EPCOT is to get rip roaring wasted and pee on things that aren't meant to be peed on.

Ah but for quite some time, FW closed at 7 or 7:30, with WS open until 9. In any event, even if less than 15 years, it's been a long freakin' time.

There was a while there that ALL of FW closed at 7:00 and WS stayed open until 9:00. Could that be it?

That's edutainment in a nutshell.

Yep. You guys nailed it. I just found some internets that had historical hours that went back to 2002. And I saw that FW was closed at 7, and WS stayed open till 9. That deep annoyance bubbled right back up to the surface when I was looking at those hours.

How ridiculous to close FW at 7. No wonder I was ticked off.
