EPCOT missing most of what I wanted to see.

I was at EPCoT last evening. I had a great time & a great dinner in Morocco. Arrived at the park around 5:30 and knew I would only have time for a few attractions. I wanted to see my buddy Figment at Journey into Imagination, Sing through Listen to the Land, and get my requisite dosage of "Rome Burning Smell" in SSE. Well I was saddened to find out that JII & LttL were both Closed. I assume it is because of the late hour & lack of interest on a relatively slow day at EPCoT. I did get to ride SSE & tried something I never had before. I rode it in Spanish. The spanish version is far less dramatic than the English version. I did find it much easier to focus on the details of my surroundings and the AA's when I wasn't trying to follow the narrated story. I noticed things I had never seen before. For instance, in the greek amphitheater, the tunic of the main character is extremely elaborate, The scene after burning rome of the "Jewish Teachers & Islamic Scholars", one of the men sitting has Dreadlocks, and in the Renaissance scene, The "boy" sitting down on your right side in the middle of a stage looks very very old. I always remembered the AA as being a young boy but that was by no means the case. Memory can be funny sometimes.

I will probably go back to WDW on Thursday assuming the dog show gets over with at a reasonable hour. This time I'm going to hit Magic Kingdom...ohhhhh yeah, Right down the middle of main street USA:king:

Magic Kingdom last night

I made it to the magic kingdom last night around 4:30. It was quite hot and boy was I thirsty. I made my way directly to Aloha Isle for a Dole Whip to refresh & replenish my mouth and to my misfortune when I was next in line all the machines decided to quit working. So I ended up standing in the sun extremely thirsty and disappointed. Walked back through the hub to Tomorrowland where I rode my favorite ride in the park...The Tomorrowland Transit Authority. After a great ride aboard the TTA I was still thirsty and since the cola fountain with the Rocket ship that sprays & cools guests...you know next to the balzac guy & the DVC cart...was closed I had to wait in a very long time in line at the lunching pad just for a soda. Next I hit Space Mountain...short wait on Omega side and I was off. I have to admit the ride was quite rough toward the end of the ride...much rougher than I remember when riding in January, but still galaxies of fun.

Hark, the jungle drums are calling...Off to Adventureland & Pirates of the Caribbean. Most things seemed in great working order. The hat guy in the tippy boat was only wearing one hat and the boat was not tipping. I took my chances and hopped on the World Famous Jungle cruise...Skipper mark was my skipper, boat driver, joke teller and swimming instructor but he didn't have the best trip of his carrer on my trip around the exotic rivers of the world. He did have a few jokes I hadn't heard before but for the most park just stuck to the script and wasn't much on crowd participation.

I started to wander a bit at this point and experienced things as they came to me. The walking spaces in Fantasyland are getting a bit tight with all the construction walls in place but that is to be expected and I am very excited about what is coming behind them. The walls feature Concept Art of what is to come and it is beautiful in such large scale. Peter Pan, whose entrance was under refurb was the longest que of the day and the ride is as amazing as always.

Buzz Lightyear was awesome and Big Thunder was great but in the earthquake scene on the last hill climb one of the rocks not there and in its place was a black sheet. Wishes was Inspiring and my cookie on main street USA tasted just like the fake cookie smell in the air. YUMMY

I'll have to try that without the English narration!
