Epcot Japan Addition

Thank you for the info and the link. But I still cannot understand why someone would prefer this japanese version of the COP to the Mt. Fuji rollercoaster.

Meet the World fits better in the EPCOT tradition than a thrill ride. Also I like the Sherman Brothers song.

Of course, there's no chance of MTW being built now, so if the choice is between a rollercoaster and nothing, I'll take the rollercoaster.

BTW I believed that the show building was built as part of the Mt. Fuji ride.
It was built for a carousel theatre.

Mt Fuji is dead. The bullet train is still tossed around now and then, in updated form.

So that show building has been empty for 30 years? Sometimes this company amazes me. There is more wasted space in Epcot then in any other park it seems. Any pictures of inside the show building?

Its used for storage and the like, but yeah basically a big honkin show building sitting there wasted. Sad. Never seen any photos of the inside. I believe there is also a level of offices and such underneath the store.

This stand looks very nice. I'm excited for it. Does anyone happen to know whether or not the items will be available on the Dining Plan? I know that some of these snack places are available on it, but some aren't...

I stopped by the stand today but I have not eaten yet so I did not partake in any of their items. They had these neat-looking shave ice thingies that I would like to try soon.

I don't know enough about this, but have watched Martin's video.

What is happening with this building right now? Is it completely empty, does it allow storage, or what??

Love Japanese culture, and I would like to see that building put to use in some meaningful way. I agree the ride sounded intriguing, but glossing over the war could never happen. Are they ever going to utilize that building?

I had a dream once, true story and I found myself inside the empty Japan show building, and the lights turned on and inside was the Dreamfinder vehicle and other 80's EPCOT Center props, it felt like a mausoleum!!
