I disagree a bit. The new building is not gonna be the same as the old one besides kinda having the same shape. They expanded the basement, added elevators and it seems like this new building will have 2 floors, though the 2nd might not be for guests i dunno. But they added a lot of basement infastructure which would have probably required a ground up rebuild anyways. The new building serves a very different purpose and I think it will look awesome when done....hopefully.

The only thing im not cool with at Epcot is Harmonious and they are taking it away thankfully, so now with new entrance, SSE points of light, GotG Coaster, New Communicore East with Store/food/coffee/Club Cool, Rat/France expansion, Geletaria, Space 220.....Just waiting on JoW, Central garden area, and new Commuinicore Plaza....Im happy with results. But thats just imo. For the record, I think JoW looks pretty cool as well, cant wait to see that when its finished

Also I really wish theyd do the SSE refurb. And add something to the SE quadrant of the park, theres a big gap in rides in that area.
Other than Moana, it's going to look like the same building that was there before. :banghead: There was no rebuild needed. If you knew anything about the Communicore buildings, you'd know that they were designed to be flexible. West could even have been renovated to include... a stage.

I didn’t mind dealing with Epcot’s broken flow for yeeears while still optimistic for a mind blowing end product. That black wall has worn out it’s welcome.

So they wrecked the symmetry of the core for “not much”

Well that’s pretty much “within the lanes” of Bob management.

But slow that Moana thing down…don’t rush. Let’s make sure that every kid that actually saw Moana in a theater has succumbed to old age prior to the ribbon cutting 👍🏻
Thats when the Nostalgia will sell... Lol.

I was 18 when Moana was released. Bruh.

Other than crazy long amount of time this has taken, I'm not sure I understand the objection. If the building needed technological updates, and they are rebuilding it to look similar to what was there before, then that is a best of both worlds, IMO. The property has had many such updates over the years.

I think the objection is it looks bland…not well conceived…

And it doesn’t address adding anything to the park that really provides value or helps with crowd flow.

It’s Epcot…its a sore subject for many. It used to be for me…but my watch has ended there.

Any updates the building needed did not require demolition. The new building will be visually different. It’ll be curved in plan, but not with a similar aesthetic.

Oh, man.... lol!

...Side note... I'm not a fan of the film itself either. The whole movie seems like it was just made for the soundtrack. I remember nothing important about the movie itself.
…but Incredibly popular.
And remember: not a sequel, multiverse or live action remake.

As far as Disney “originals” goes…it’s their most recent big hit (some circumstances - of course)

It moves a lot of product. It passes the “target test”

Oh I'm aware it passes the target test.

..and yet... People still quote the other Disney movies more than their most recent hit.
