Can anyone here point me to a place where I can buy this item at a lower cost price? I am thinking $20 is a good price. I bought this in March of 1983 when I was little, but my father cleaned out my stuff while I was at college in the 90's and trashed it. I have been searching for a copy ever since. If anyone has a copy they want to sell please let me know.

I think you might want to add a zero or 2 to that price you think is good. This would be a major collectors item.

Good luck.

Wow, that map even shows Africa instead of the outpost. Definitely going to be high priced as a collector's item unless you find it by chance at a yard sale or something. Best of luck finding one!

I bought mine from Phil Sears 2 years ago and paid only $40. I don't routinely watch for this item, so I couldn't tell you what a fair price would be. I was very pleased to get one - still in great condition too. I just need to get it framed at some point...

I have this wall poster as well as a late 1970s (1978-79) wall poster of the Magic Kingdom. Both are tucked away in my "Disney vault."

Never knew the value, but I guess it would be a little pricey with the inclusion of a full mock up of "Africa" between China and Germany. But as you can see, there is no mention of Norway.

Best of luck in trying to find one.

Are you sure that map is 1983? I went in August of '83 and The Living Seas was still "coming soon" and in the guide book they had concept art of Africa and Isreal. No Morocco.

Good point. I know Norway didn't open until something like '87/'88, Morocco wasn't one of the original showcase countries either. This particular map is probably from '85/'86 before they made Norway plans.

It`s copyright WDP 1982. I have one. Horizons says opening 1983, Seas says `future` in small type - it was originally planned for 1984. Morocco was always planned but couldn`t be built for 1982. It also says future, along with Africa.

It all depends upon the condition. If you think about it, there should be thousands of them out there. It just depends upon who wants to part with one and who is willing to pay the price.

$60 bucks though? I paid what, $4.00 for it in 1983 when I was 12. I just don't know if I can pay that much for it right now. I think I will keep looking.

I finally realized why people hate test track! :lookaroun

Because the World of Motion was timeless and educational, and because Test Track's scaffolding sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the original Future World architectural design?*

*this is why I hate Test Track
