Epcot Cast Parking: the Next DVC Resort?

There is something for everyone.

If you wish to further explain why the program or plan did not work for you I woud love to hear about it. I will do my best to not defend DVC and listen from an educational stand point. I have to remember that the moment I stop believing in DVC is the moment I am out of a job. There is no way I can do my job as well as I do it if I do not believe in DVC.
I am just curious as to how DVC does not work for you, especially when you own at Bonnet Creek and yet are choosing to stay at the Contemporary for a week. Again please do not think I am trying to convince you of anything, I just want to understand your position.

Fascinating that you can predict that the exact amount that annual dues will go up more and more each year.

Your numbers are theory. They have some validity to them but not enough to completely discredit DVC compeltely. You are comparing apples to oranges by saying it makes more sense to buy a home near WDW property. That is not the same. What we, as in the Cast Members of DVC, compare DVC with is staying on WDW property as often as you are able to stay on WDW proeprty as a member over a 47 year period what the costs would be.
If you want to buy a home go right ahead. It does make much more financial sense. But it is not the same. DVC is for people who understand the value of it. It is for people who understand the huge difference in staying on property vs. off. It is for people who understand the benefit of the places you can go to outside of Disney using your points.
It is not a financial plan designed to make the DVC and Deluxe resorts as affordable as off property accomodations or even the Value resorts on property. In my opinion DVC is designed to please the Guests that enjoy being on property as well as staying in some of the top rate resortsd around the world.

Your numbers are smart, but I see some flaws in them. I am glad that you are happy in your current situation, I just hope you understand that there are many people who love DVC and they crunched the numbers, trust me I have talked to tons of members who are very, very analytical especially when it comes to their hard earned money. But DVC still is desirable to them and there are many reasons for that. So be happy in your current situation and please let myself and the other DVC fans be happy.

Truce?

In other news, I love my job and have been doing very well. I have only been with DVC for 4 months and was just promoted to the All Star Team. This team works at our busiest locations and it is considered to be a prestigous team, the best of the best. It's like going to play for the Lakers or the Steelers. I am so happy right now.

Cool... great to hear!! :sohappy: :sohappy:

So where are your busiest locations?

I imagine tomorrowland, downtown disney, and epcot.

The one on Boardwalk always seems slow (not so busy) to me.

Congrats on the promotion!

There are three location on Boardwalk, the cart, the model and the lobby.

The cart is the slowest of the three and is given to the Varsity team, the newbies. When you are on that team you have to be there three months before you are eligible to move to the next team. You of course have to have certain performance standards at that point to move. The Pro team is the middle team they cover Epcot (two of the three there), Boardwalk Model and Lobby, Studios Sci Fi, Old Key West, All Star Movies, I think that's all of them.
The All Star team is the best of the best and also the smallest we cover Downtown Disney (except for the Lego/ McDonalds location), Studios Sunset Blvd, Old Key West opening, Wilderness Lodge and I think that's it...
There is one other team, the Cruise team, the are also a distinguished team and their locations are a combination of Pro locations and All Star locations. They work 4 weeks on land and then one week at Sea on either ship.

Dvc

I saw it on my way home yesterday.

Cool... but I'm still baffled by the previous sign being constructed to announce the coming of this sign.

Can the DVC resorts be toured? I would never buy something that I have not looked at first hand. It is something that has interested my wife and I for years. Maybe someday we can join the club.

Yes, you can take a tour of Saratoga Springs Resort. Just stop at any of the DVC kiosks around WDW and tell them you want to take a tour. Also, at the Boardwalk, you can walk thru the demo villas.

The tour at Saratoga is how you get information about Disney Vacation Club. The model at Boardwalk is considered another kiosk just like the ones all across property. The Cast Members that work there are just like me. We provide brief information and then schedule the Open House at Saratoga.
