Epcot Arcade

Innoventions was so cool back in 1995. What it is today is a sad former shell of what it used to be....

But anyway, I gave PIU a try at the Contemporary and it sucked...

No wonder the CMs at Disney didn't know what I meant when I asked them where the arcade was. It wasn't worthy anymore. It wasn't worthy...:(

I'm pretty sure they're not system games, but they are ESPN and disney arcade games.

All it is now is basically the same setup as when the Dreamcast was in there.Theres a cabinet in front of you with a window towards the bottom so you can see what system your playing and on the side theres a sheet that tells you the controls for the game and of theres a monitor.

never play the ddr machine at pleasure island. its a relic and the pads are so sticky and broken that it is impossible to play.

the 'arcade' at inoventions is console based, not traditional coin-op machines.

if anyone is over at the boardwalk and want to kill some time, be sure to check out the clubhouse by the villa/quiet pool. it's supposed to be for dvc members only, but no one is going to bother you about it. they have several consoles set up (i think gamecubes) with various demo games, not to mention a free air hockey table and a slightly broken NBA Jam set to free play. it's a nice alternative to the boardwalk and beachclub arcades.

I'm sorry, but that sounds a lot like inside a Toys R us, Electronics Boutique, or some other store with game demos. Has the Epcot arcade gotten that cheap? Or are there stand-up games/simulators such as Hydro Thunder? Because I miss the old Sonic-themed set-up. Horizons, did you say that the Sonic Statues were all gone?

Me too. I might go to see what has become of it. The last time I went there, I remember my hero, Sonic. If anyone wants to say something about it, try writing a letter to Sega of America. I will.

I was the same way, but now I'm much better at PIU than I ever was at DDR. That being said, I still play DDR at least once a week.

I personally do not care. I am a dancer well and said. I can dance well on DDR, but I am not obsessed with it. So really it doesn't matter to me what dance system is out on the market. I plan to stack to DDR. Plain and Simple.....

i was there last year and it was basically a toys "r" us setup. 5 or 6 PS2's lined up w/kingdom hearts/nemo/espn football and stuff lining the walls. All together it was like 15 systems (not different kinds) and it was incredibly bogus. i was also there in 94 and it was 5x better than it is now. You are correct in now saying

Agreed. At least ddr is available at home.

Did you know that they released Prex 3 for the PC? ... ... In Korea only. That doesn't necessarily mean you can't get your hands on it tho :lookaroun

I'll give it one final look. Then I'll write a letter to SEGA about this. Hopefully, they won't just send me some form letter and a keychain. Maybe they will give it some thought and re-worthy it.
