With the new TRON Legacy film gearing up I was just thinking about how this could impact EPCOT. Future World and TRON? I believe this is the future that EPCOT needs more of. I think this is a step in the right direction that they even did a follow up to TRON. I believe EPCOT can still do the future and this is it. Make it unreal, make it crazy, make it beyond our imagination.

Well, Tron in the sense of characters and Tron rides? Or a Future akin to Tron?

If the asthetics and feeling is right, I wouldn't mind it for EPCOT....THe characters and storyline...yes.

I enjoy EPCOT without all the product tie-ins. Why can't EPCOT continue to inspire by showcasing life as improved by technological advances?

That was Walt's vision.

Why eff with it?

I am always game for retheming major parts of DisneyQuest to Virtual Tron experience. Imagine the endless possibilities.

To be fair, the EPCOT that was built isnt even close to what Walt wanted to do. I understand what your saying though, Im hoping Epcot will inspire me again one day.

I agree. I can remember as a kid looking at the kiosks around WS that had touch screens describing each country and each attraction in Future World and thought it was so cool. Being able to video conference with a CM to make restaurant reservations was amazing back in the 80s. Unfortunately EPCOT has lost a lot of that "glimpse into the future" and has more nostalgia for me, although I still love walking around WS in the evening after having a nice meal and enjoying a beverage.

Ah yes, I/O. And it was also the same voice as the Wedway People Mover before they changed it to that creepy robotic voice.

Although I know that TRON was originally set to be part of EPCOT Center a short time after the park opened, I wonder if TRON would be a better fit for Tomorrowland....certainly better than most of stuff that is there right now.
