Someone tell me how to feel about this.
Matt is a well-liked leader at Springs, but does not have a strong Disney heritage. He has not been with Disney very long, and has a lengthy past in managing large retail operations. Based on his time at Springs, expect to see him out in the park a lot - very guest facing. His appointment to EPCOT perhaps suggests its continued focus on F&B and retail.

Too loud?
Too Pentatonix.

Take Pentatonix's two Christmas albums. Mix in gimmicky 50s and 60s Christmas songs. And... well that's it.

A few of Pentatonix's Christmas songs are great. But who wants to hear an a capella version of the Dance of the Sugar Plums by them singing "Doo doo doo, doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo."?

It's enough to crush one's soul.

Can we get a group to walk with him around the parks and point out whats lacking and give some good history lessons along the way? I could think of a few people for this.......Marie

Avalon is (or at least was; last time I was there was years ago) pretty nice. I also thought the Grove was nice, but I was there years ago too.

Colony Square, on the other hand, was pretty awful. It's now been completely overhauled and is much nicer, but I don't know if that happened during his tenure.

Either way, seems like they plan to keep EPCOT heavily focused on retail and food and beverage.

But can he fix in-ground lighting? 🤔

Ah so this is the reason park tickets are so expensive…I think WDW has way toomany VPs.

Also…“Experience Optimization”? What is that, the play room where they put executives they can’t fire?

Kartika moved from head of EPCOT into a position that the previous person got promoted out of to head call centers.

I believe it is a process improvement role - focused on training, labor etc.
The only thing that pops into my mind right now.

First time in a while we've agreed on something on these boards. The constant "doo doo" of Pentatonix gets on my nerves as well.
