Epcot After Hours Tasting - New event

I love the idea of staying in WS late for some drinks and food, but this would make much more sense in the off-season when Epcot closes early. The fact that WS is closed at 9pm during peak season is a massive problem.

Just wow.

Remember when your park admission alone allowed you to stay in until 11pm or midnight?

If a guest stayed in World Showcase from open to close they're paying ~9 bucks an hour just to be there. Plus drinks.

But now they have the privilege of adding another 2.5 hours for what, 14 dollars an hour?

Oh, but you get a 'flight'. Mmmmmm.....Bud light, Miller light, Coors light? 3oz pours?

Why not just have some respect for people and keep the place open (even if with limited locations) and let people enjoy the already outrageously priced drinks?

It's about time I have been saying this for years! Come 9pm everyone seems to pack Rose & Crown for a last drink and it gets so busy that you dont even want to be in there since you cant sit chill and relax.

No, you are a lying liar who lies. EPCOT has ALWAYS closed at 9 p.m. with much of the park done at 7. Why would you spread lies like that??!??!?!? (should I put a Phil Kippel angry face in?)

This entire thing is one of many things (the APer hard ticket DAK event coming) that WDW/TDO/Georgie K are doing to increase revenue immediately and cover for NGE/MM+'s disastrous debut.

I find the fact they want to charge a $35 cover charge per person insulting beyond belief. And so ballsy and typical of Disney today. ... I think I'll drink at UNI's numerous Happy Hours instead.

But again, this was added to make the bottom line look better than it is looking ...

Looking forward to trying this in May. My wife just booked it for the same night we do the Illuminations Dessert Party. Loving this trip we have planned so far (first without the kids).

I just booked too!! What night? I bet you did pick the tequila one didn't you? As soon as I clicked on Tutta's for the wine flights I started think takillya

Just going to state the obvious. Much of what used to be included with your admission is now being broken off into up-charge events. It's becoming Epcot a la carte. Oh except that part where you pay the ever increasing entry ticket price first.

WDW wants to go to two models at once: they want the cruise line one where as much as possible is under their control and the guest is paying, but they also want to be able to charge extra for everything much like airline pricing today (in 2000, you flew, you got a seat, you got two checked bags on every carrier, you got a hot meal for a longer flight and a sandwich on shorter ones ... now you pay for the oxygen).

Thats quite a cover charge..... Better serve something better than Kendall-Jackson.

That would be much better, I missed the part about the cover charge. $35 seems very steep.
