Has anyone done the photo sitting at the Grand Floridian? I wanted to use them as our Engagement Pictures! If so, anyone willing to share?

How much were they? Is it worth it? etc.

I did an engagement session, but we chose ours in the Magic Kingdom. You can choose from any theme park or resort hotel. I have seen pictures of the Grand Floridian engagement session and it's beautiful. They get some good shots of the castle way in the background. I bet there are members here who have examples they could show you.

I will say that I thought it was worth doing when we did ours in MK. It's a memory we'll always have, and the photos are great. We used them as a signature board at our wedding, and we used one to submit to the papers for our engagement.

Here's the price:
Honeymoon or Engagement Portrait Session - $310
Photo Session at your choice of any Walt Disney World® Theme Park or Resort Hotel (Park admission not included)
A twenty (20) print 4” x 6” white Disney-themed album chosen by photographer
A Contact Proof Book
4” x 6” keepsake prints of your Portrait Session
Casual attire is required and comfortable walking shoes are recommended

I got that info from the Disney Wedding website. Have a great time if you decide to do it! :)

We didn't have an engagement package(21 years beyond that!) but we did have our family pictures (my parents, my two kids, DH and I) done at GF last November. We were very pleased with the pictures, had a nice vairety of poses, especially of the two couples, and a really great photographer.

It is 50 dollars. You can get it for 25 if you prepurchase the photocd from the website. Any additional sessions after the first are at the full 50 dollar cost.
You get between 20 and 30 mins of time, no idea why some seem to be 1 over the other. Most people seem to be ok with their pictures, but I have only seen a few where they were ecstatic. Depends completely on your photographer.

We had our e-pictures done at the GF and WL, but we used Root Photography, since we were trying them out for our wedding.

It cost us $250 for the session, but since we booked them, we have that $250 credited to us for the wedding. So it ended up being free.

The session DizneyPrincess mentions is done with a professional photographer thru the Disney Events Group. They do an excellent job and every photo turns out beautiful however re-prints or a CD of all the pictures are very very expensive.

The session Dreamfinder mentions is done by a photopass photographer, not a true professional photographer.

I've seen engagement shots done at the Poly... THOSE were good. I've also seen Wildy Lodge shots... those were okay. I think it all depends on the photographer DPI assigns you.

Maybe its just me but I dont understand why they dont show more of the location. I mean I could take a picture of my whole family in front of a christmas tree or sitting on grass or on a couch at home. I want to SEE the Grand Floridian, I want to KNOW that this picture was taken in Disney World.

Thats it, Im quitting my job and taking portraits at Disney World

The costs for this have gone up a bunch. Just in case you anyone was planning on doing it, it's now 75 for the photopass session.

For that, I'd rather have someone I know that can take good pictures do it for us for free. :p

It's a nice idea though. If I could, I would have my engagement session at the MK.
