I read some reviews and people were disappointed that although the kiddies were not allowed in the pool they were allowing them to hang arounf the quite cove. curious about peoples experiences with that

We had no issues.

I wouldn't expect problems if kids come in to deliver a message or question.. but they shouldn't linger or 'hang out'.

We certainly did not observe any issues with kids in the area.

I passed through with my kids (wanted to check out the concierge rooms) and when we entered the area a CM walked up to me. Before he even said anything I said "we are just passing through" and he said OK. I assume he was going to tell me this was a no kids zone.

The Dream & Fantasy are (dare I say it) flawed in their design because the forward elevators arrive on deck 11 in a spot where you have to walk thru the adult only area to get to the pools, etc. Personally, I don't expect parents to take their little ones to deck 12, walk to the midship elevators, then go down to deck 11. Just walk thru. As long as they aren't stopping to hang out or take a dip in the pool or hot tub I think its fine. If people get their drawers in a wad over that I imagine they have bigger problems then my sons passing thru. :)

They could have sacrificed staterooms 11020 and 11022 to provide a walkway to the port side to keep guests from entering right in the middle of the Cove area from the elevator lobby. Maybe only 11022 would need to be lost.

There are always sacrifices made in cruise ship design but that one change would make a huge difference in the guest experience.

We had some older teens in the adult area one day on the Fantasy. They were behaved and with their family. They knew the rules of the area but "grandma" said it was "ok" for them to be there and they just hung out in the pool.

Kelly (sweetpee) is correct in saying that there were a lot of "walk-through" the area to get to the aft elevators.

Never had a issue. Occasionally I have seen a youngster come to quiet cove to ask Mom or Dad a question, but they didn't stay.

We once had a Mom and 3 pre teens on the shuttle to Serenity Bay on CC. Before they could get off, a CC was there to let them know its adults only.

No problems.
