It's odd that I always see these accounts posting on the same threads, and typically out of nowhere.

We're up to 3. I can keep going if you'd like. The photos with the white background are from the ThemeParkInsider version of your Beastly Kingdom thread. This was after 10 minutes on google....

I think this has run its course. Sorry for hijacking your thread, @cdunlap. I've known about some of this for a while, but I didn't really care until they started harassing people directly.

Anyway, I think that Encanto would be a great addition for EPCOT. While I'm not personally always a huge fan of IP usage in EPCOT (especially World Showcase,) Encanto would be a really fantastic way to get a smaller country into World Showcase. All of your attractions sound super interesting and I'd love to see them fleshed out! Welcome to the forum! I promise the community is more lowkey usually.
That explains a lot. I always saw this group of accounts in random threads and thought they were kind of a group of old forum vets or something who liked to keep to themselves, but no this makes way more sense.

My takeaway: “global pandemic” is redundant (sorry, couldn’t resist. My job involves words & phrases).

Oh yeah, and people have different tastes in music. I liked Encanto musical style of modern/Latin American mash-up.

I like the idea of adding this as a South America addition to DAK, but I wouldn’t be opposed to another pavilion in Epcot. Both are my fave parks!

I'd say Encanto is a rare IP where it works in all four parks. Any IP can fit into Studios as is the nature of the park. Magic Kingdom allows for Adventureland or Fantasyland for the IP to be worked in. Epcot has World Showcase, Play Pavilion, and I'd argue The Land albeit that would be a pretty bad spot but there could be justification thanks to Tia Pepa/Isabella/Antonio, and Animal Kingdom thank to that same trio would work well.

I don't want to spoil exactly where Encanto ranks in my overall Walt Disney Animation Studios rankings as I plan on doing a three part podcast series about that topic soon, but suffice to say Encanto ranking as high as it does on said list was what sparked me to plan that series to begin with. My passion for Encanto runs pretty deep at this point. I honestly thought I had outgrown watching movies over and over like I did as a teenager but Encanto is a rare exception. There's just so many little details, character moments, and subtle story beats that I've found going back to the film to be a bit of a "comfort zone" for me recently.

I absolutely think it would make for a TERRIFIC attraction. Oddly enough I think Epcot's Mexico pavilion would provide the perfect framework for how I could see the land being structured. I think the Casita itself would make a fantastic indoor land and the Imagineers would be able to go freaking nuts with practical effects and interactive elements. I think the fact that we only see a couple of the rooms in the movie is basically a rare open canvas for a pre-established IP for the Imagineers to once again to absolutely buck wild with creativity. I think a Mystic Manor style tour through each family member's room would be incredible and is almost too perfect of a format for a dark ride.

Since it was already brought up, here's some shameless self promotion ;)

Also Tia Peppa's weather pavilion. Yes. Just freaking yes. Give it to me. Inject it directly into my bloodstream.

As long as the food is authentic Colombian unlike the booth at Festival of the Arts, I'm onboard!

You have some great ideas, but there's only one problem. "Encanto" is a lousy movie, I seem to like it less and less the more I think about it.

It has No Villain, No Love Interests (for the main character) and horrible music. I had to forward over the annoying songs. It was like listening to both a screeching cat and nails on a chalkboard.
I agree. It was very boring for me. Disney animation has been pretty lacking for the past couple of years. In my opinion. Raya was boring, frozen 2 was ok, and wreck it Ralph 2 was probably the worst Disney animation movie I have ever seen.

We're on the same page. The only one that I really liked lately was "Luca". Which is surprising because I thought that would suck too.

That one was from Pixar, anyway.

Oh yeah, I was grouping them all together. I've only liked 1 movie lately from both companies. I think they've been way too many bad ones lately. Many of which are sequels like Wreck it Ralph 2 and Incredibles 2, which you figure would be easy money.

I think the reason why a lot of them still succeed is because the alternatives are even worse movies like Minions.
