Encanto Integration Idea

O really?

And Cruella is getting a sequel, funny how Disney greenlit a sequel to a “flop”. I guess Encanto is doomed then since it outperformed Cruella in the box office?

And again you can attribute Covid to lack of major gross for the film. Family films as a whole have been hit the hardest during the pandemic with none making huge grosses. The only standouts have been Sing 2 and Encanto bothe the highest grossing family films of the pandemic.

We get that you don’t like this film, but a flop it is not by the pandemic benchmarks.

Some sites are saying it cost 200 million to make and it only made 228 million and change World Wide. In the link above it says "Cruella would have to earn approximately $400 million World Wide just to break even". Well it didn't, not even close. So it was a big old flop.

I don't know why they green lit the sequel. Disney has been making a lot of mistakes lately with their films. Putting and pushing agendas and box checking over quality for the past 3 years. They'll probably either cancel Cruella's sequel or drastically reduce the budget and put it on Disney Plus.

Mick10 is right, Encanto sucks and was a flop. They had to throw it on Disney Plus for Free because it was doing so poorly (especially domestically).

But it did when you factor in streaming numbers hence the sequel 😂

If you wish to continue this off topic discussion feel free to PM me, but I will end with this given the unprecedented times streaming matters more where the pretty much every theatrically released film in 2021 has gone on to become a huge hit

Whoa... you made Tcool look like a fool.

I didn't hate Encanto, but I see your point Mickey. It didn't measure up to other similar Disney movies.
It's odd that I always see these accounts posting on the same threads, and typically out of nowhere.

I'm not going to lie, Encanto might be my favorite Disney movie (it's at least top 5). The emotional core of this movie REALLY caught me off-guard when I watched it at the premiere. I hadn't cried that much in a Disney flick since Lilo & Stitch.

Also, Rambozo and itsy bitsy spider are obviously alts of Mickey Mouse 10. C'mon, you're not even trying to troll if that's your attempt.

Anyway, pls bring the Madigrals to the Disney parks.

:), nope not me. I've got other things to do besides be on the board 24/7. People just seem to be peed off that I'm putting down "Encanto". I honestly don't know why. It isn't a good movie.

Encanto aside, you've gotta admit it is pretty strange that you and, like, 6 other accounts consistently post and reply to each other within 30 minutes of each other most every day. So really it's not being on the board 24/7 - more being on the board for 30-40 minutes.

Back on topic, who actually cares if Encanto was a flop? This is a fan forum. It's all fictional. I could write a Home on the Range ride and it literally wouldn't matter. Let people like what they like, and write what they want. This is a place to share ideas - not put others down because you didn't like the movie. Thinly-veiled trolling or not this is getting ridiculous.

This is the second time in a month that you and your "friends" have come to a thread out of the blue to harass another user. Maybe the 6 or 7 of you could work together to bring ideas rather than negativity.

To piggy back on this going after a user or even saying you’re making them look like a fool may so some real damage to someone who isn’t sure of themselves. We get a lot of younger people who can take what some stranger says to heart and it may discourage them from ever sharing their ideas on these forums again. That isn’t what these forums are about we are about welcoming all ideas regardless of what they are.

What we dont do is go into a thread and essentially say thats nice but I don’t like this movie so this sucks. What we don’t do is go to someone else’s thread and hijack it with your own ideas (fine if its open brainstorming but not fine when it’s someone’s personal project). What we don’t do is call other user’s names or being them down. There is enough negativity in this world let’s leave out in the world and not in the forum.

You're entitled to your opinion.

But your opinion is a minority one...

LOL, I'm sure they don't post everyday on my stuff. But it's all good man. Believe what you want.

But, a Home on the Range attraction would actually be pretty cool in Frontierland. I've actually thought of that too, but again it is a floparoonie. No money no honey.

I think this has run its course. Sorry for hijacking your thread, @cdunlap. I've known about some of this for a while, but I didn't really care until they started harassing people directly.

Anyway, I think that Encanto would be a great addition for EPCOT. While I'm not personally always a huge fan of IP usage in EPCOT (especially World Showcase,) Encanto would be a really fantastic way to get a smaller country into World Showcase. All of your attractions sound super interesting and I'd love to see them fleshed out! Welcome to the forum! I promise the community is more lowkey usually.

Yet Home on the Range has a minor presence in the Frontierland Pin Shop and the petting zoo at Rafikis Planet Watch proving that any film can be represented at Disney with stores and attractions

Anyways a more immediate implementation of Encanto would be a sing a long ala Frozen. There are a few options for where it could go: Theater of the Wild at Animal Kingdom, or replacing Frozen/Little Mermaid at Studios. Capitalizes on the biggest thing from the film: it’s soundtrack.

Another concept could be a standalone flat ride set inside Casita. It could be a dancing flat ride ala Luigis Rollickin Roadsters in DCA with two dance floors one in Isabellas room and another in Antonio allowing for plant life and animals to dance along to the music and a dynamic backdrop for the ride

You can't really trust Rotten Tomatoes anymore. Critics have their agendas and people can review bomb certain films.
lol

When the whole world disagrees with you, question all sources of information so it looks like you're right. Go ahead, call it "fake news," we know you wanna.

Encanto's box office take is $234 Million. The average cost of a movie ticket is $9. So, that's 26 Million people that went to see it.

In the first two and a half weeks Encanto was on D+, it got 4 Billion minutes of streaming. (We don't have up to date numbers because Nielsen publishes their numbers of a month ago). The film is just over 100 minutes, so, that's the equivalence of being watched 40 Million times.

Yes, RT has had reviews 'bombed,' but by your reasoning, there is also an up-bombing? And Encanto is an example of that? You think it is rational that several thousand people up-bombed Encanto such that its audience score isn't reliable? I can see that since RT only has 2,500 'voters' (and that number is historically small since RT has put in a lot of measures to prevent 'bombing.') and a small number is easy to influence.

So, let's go to IMDB which has 132K votes, which makes it very difficult to 'bomb' in either direction. The audience score is 7.3, which is high for IMDB.

And what exactly is the agenda of all these critics and reviewers whom you can't trust? I suppose you're going to use the old tried and true conspiracy theory that they're all in Disney's pocket and won't ever give a Disney movie a bad review. To that end, I point you to the score of Chicken Little (36), Cars 2 (55), Thor 2 (66), Aladdin Live Action (59), Nutcracker (54), Pirates: Dead Men Tell No Tales (47).

So, again, I say to you: lol.

I must admit the dedication is impressive. Some alternates even have full backstories and wait 2 weeks in between posts. Also look out for the cameo appearance of the original disneysource11
