Every defunct ride should have as much preserved as they can.And the crowd goes mild...
(Was the fate of Triceratop Spin a genuine concern?)
They only kept pieces of it, not the entire thing. I would not expect to see a new ride system added anywhere. The parts will be used to maintain what is already there. If they are keeping the spinner for some reason a thing I've been wanting for years is for them to do to the Aladdin magic carpets what they did for dumbo, move them to the side with a proper queue to help with capacity/theming and have two of them
Yknow, with the date you arrive, there is a VERY certain kind of joke i could make….Okay, to anyone who'd know... Should I expect Dinosaur to be open by January 10th? I arrive in Orlando January 6th, so, just getting prepared.
It was Aladdin's wish to have a Dinosaur version of his carpet, didn't ya knowCan't wait for the refurbished Aladdin's Carpet, NEW! Now with an arm from Triceratops Spin!!!
I'll see you at the American pavilion in EPCOT, patriot.Okay, to anyone who'd know... Should I expect Dinosaur to be open by January 10th? I arrive in Orlando January 6th, so, just getting prepared.
"Winter 2025" is all Disney has said for the Z******* thing opening, so January is no guarantee. And unless they increase the capacity or shorten the show, max hourly is 2500. That's not going to do much (nor does the subject material magically attract every guest in the park).I'm thinking it will close a year after Dino Rama closed, as that's when the crowds die down a little, enough to remove park capacity (and Zootopia will be open by then to help with that capacity removal)
When we eat one churro we eat them all!I'll see you at the American pavilion in EPCOT, patriot.
I would say yes, but that might be very close to the last day. I think they wait until after Marathon weekend (which is the 7-11) and then it closes a similar to date to when Dinorama closed this year (which was the 12th)Okay, to anyone who'd know... The closer the better. I want the full experience ofI would say yes, but that might be very close to the last day. I think they wait until after Marathon weekend (which is the 7-11) and then it closes a similar to date to when Dinorama closed this year (which was the 12th)
Aladdin visited Triceratop Spin in the 80sIt was Aladdin's wish to have a Dinosaur version of his carpet, didn't ya know
Please don't take this the wrong way, and PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you one of the insiders on this site hah? Shouldn't you have the best idea or know when it's closing?Okay, to anyone who'd know... Should I expect Dinosaur to be open by January 10th? I play a game of telephone and tell y'all what the phones ring with, I don't like being called an insider, never have D:.Please don't take this the wrong way, and PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you one of the insiders on this site hah? Those words echo though my brain every time I’m running late for work."WE'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT!".
You're all good!!!! Thank you so much for clearing that up for me haha!I play a game of telephone and tell y'all what the phones ring with, I don't like being called an insider, never have D:.
I assume operations would largely decide who stuff closes? The phone lines I got didn't really come from operations side of things. But honestly I've been cagey dropping stuff because of the communications war that was Monsters Inc haha. First I was told "it's Muppets!" and told y'all it was Muppets, then it shifted to "it's AC!" "Nuh uh, it's Muppets!" and y'all know how that story ended.
I personally believe they had plans for both and it was a last minute call but, alas.
I'm just a worried fangirl she won't get her last ride on Dinosaur in this scenario.
