I think that's what is notable here, and why I'm so pleased with these plans.

It is a South America land that just happens to have Indy and Encanto rides that thematically fit.

Not: Encanto & Indiana Jones mini-lands shoehorned next to each other with no placemaking.

If it was indeed Bruce Vaughn, wow do I love this guy.

I think the last time I was this excited for a project was Galaxy's Edge's announcement in 2015.
Yes, this exactly. Asia is a well themed land featuring appropriate animal exhibits and shops/restaurants to fit in the land and also features Everest and Kali which are both good rides that fit well into the area even though neither is a direct animal experience. The fact that Encanto and Indy are IPs doesn’t mean they cannot fit into an overall land based on tropical Americas.

Good point. It’s nice to see a new land that has a broad theme, that they can plug appropriate IP into, vs single IP lands, which I find… not appropriate most times.

You and I are on the same page. Last year’s blue sky talk with Moana and Zootopia right on top of one another made no sense to me.

This makes sense, and Vaughn new how to present it. The message was not IP heavy, it was presented as ‘we are adding a new land to DAK, representing the lands of the central and South Americas.’ Just perfect! And if animals and conservation are present, what a win! I mean, the rain forest exists in this climate zone. Would be a real miss if that isn’t referenced or included.

The bonus could also be a great Encanto dark ride plus an Indy adventure. And as @GoofGoof said, bring on the chilled monkey brains!

So is the rumor that there would be a Mystic Manor type Encanto ride? I’ve seen it mentioned a few times here but is that something they discussed?

Nothing with any credence - just the ride system would be perfect for the Madrigal house (a house that comes alive)

So more wishful thinking than anything

We need someone to leak details on Casita. I feel like everyone’s really running with Mystic Manor, which would be outstanding, but there’s also the potential for some much less exciting alternatives.
Yeah, Mystic Manor would be ideal but there’s a chance they could just end up using the ‘story theater’ concept where you just sit there and witness all of the siblings using magic around you

Another idea could be the Casita is a dinner show set up as it is a character meals there (which Brings in $) but also have like animatronic elements to the structure (shutters moving, etc) ... sort of like how the Adventurers Club had elements like that

I am very happy to see Indy finally looking likes it's going to happen at WDW. It is easily one of WDI's best attractions, and to see Dinosaur use the same track and deliver such a sub-par experience in comparison just isn't right. Hopefully a new version of Indy can be even better than the original and really a stand-out experience.
IF they change their mind on Indiana Jones, I just want to put this out there...

They are exact clones. I think structurally there might be things moved around in the big room, but the layouts are literally identical.

I'd hope they'd reuse the animatronics on Dinosaur, and I'd imagine there's a real chance since they're doing so on Splash. They're very impressive to a degree that would be shameful to just trash.

How cool would it be if the Temple is like a portal to the past and instead of snakes and spiders you had ancient massive creatures King Kong style tossed in with a few large dinosaurs.
They're close but not identical. Some of the track here eliminated some of the turns. It's about 95% the same tho
