EMH: Yes or No

I have read a lot of people say that they avoid Early Extra Morning Hours. I personally love them. I get there and take my time and hit most of my fave rides usually before the regular crowds fill in. I have yet to try the evening extra magic hours because with a kiddo it tends not to work too well and we are early risers.

I know Touringplans.com(unofficial guide) usually lists whatever park that has EMH as a park to avoid and I understand their logic. However, you can really get a ton done before the crowds get thick by taking advantage of EMH

As we're off sight this trip we're following touring plans advice and avoiding EMH! If we follow their park recommendations for which day at what park we get so much done we really don't need them.

I loved both early and night EMH but I've only done them at MK. I enjoyed the night EMH but I'm a night owl and official Disney All-Nighter as of May 24th
We haven't stayed onsite for a whole week since 2010 and we used them then and enjoyed them. We barely waited for the old single spinner Dumbo in the middle of the summer season during morning EMH. When we stay offsite I barely pay attention to the parks with or without them.

We always do Early and Evening during our trip. Durning Evening in late October,early November when we've gone you can just walk through the lines and hop on the rides.

Always hit morning EMH! We can usually get at least three things done in that hour! Love them.

We take advantage of morning EMH...we may leave that park by lunch. As for evening EMH, those are a must and we usually don't worry about whether it is the park we start our day in or not. Evening EMH don't seem to have the same effect as morning EMH...making a park more crowded for the whole day.

We LOVE early EMH and will plan to hit those parks when we go. For example, when we went in Oct 2011, we went to Epcot for EMH and did TT twice, MS, Soarin (got a FP when we got off) and SSE by 9:15-9:30.

My wife and her family never did early EMH but my wife is a convert to it because most people don't go to those particular parks that early.

we have stayed late for EMH in the evening but have not done the morning because DH likes to sleep in on vacation and I am an early riser but I just hang out at the RV and wait for him to get up and around so we can go together.

We usually partake in them...don't like it as much as evening, but we've found it to be helpful.

I tend to avoid them as most people swarm to the parks because of the EMH while the rest of the parks typically drop in attendance.

It's a must for us..First choice..MK...Then HS.....Then Epcot..No for AK...

This year's trip we will only use them once, for our Epcot day, which is on a Tuesday. Just how it worked out.

We have walked around HS at EMH in July,and filmed on our camcorder..Friends say " where is everybody ?"

I will ALWAYS take advantage of EMH! Are you kidding? That's one of the perks of a resort stay and in part, what you're paying for.

Now granted, a lot of it is B.S. In the morning, half of MK is closed and most of FW in EC. In the evening, so many eateries and "little things" are closed in MK. But at least the major stuff is open, so you can hit those with usually much shorter lines.

Moral of the story - if Disney gives you something "for free" then you USE it!

I follow touring plans too but in this case I don't. I like the EMH's , I do both morning and evenings. I do like the evenings better cause it seems like guests do a bit but dont stay long and I get to do more once the parks start to empty out.
