EMH question

Okay, the last time I visited the World, evening EMH did not exist. I'm trying to plan out my 2009 trip so I can know what places I want to dine at to make ADR's 90 days out. I noticed on the World calendar that EMH for this month are:
Monday mornings @ AK
Monday evenings are not offered
Tuesday mornings @ Epcot
Tuesday evenings @ DHS
Wednesday mornings are not offered
Wednesday evenings @ AK
Thursday mornings @ MK
Thursday evenings are not offered
Friday mornings are not offered
Friday evenings @ Epcot
Saturday mornings @ DHS
Saturday evenings are not offered
Sunday mornings are not offered
Sunday evenings @ MK

My question is: Is EMH always offered on the same days of the week at the same parks? I fully plan on taking advantage of the morning EMH and would like to know so I know what park I'll be in on a particular day so I can plan out my dining ADRs (as well as little extras like a fishing excursion).
Thanks all.

I don't think that it is the same. You can click on the calendar on the official site and get an updated list for the dates you will be there (not sure how far out though). I just glanced at my spreadsheet and there are quite a few EMH differences for the week we will be there. Right off the bat, there will be an evening EMH on our Monday at MK and your list doesn't have Mondays.

It is my understanding that there is not a set every monday this and every tuesday that. If you are planning a trip that is farther out than what is posted on the website the cast members on the phone can tell you. It wasn't posted when I called to ask a question about making reservations and the wonderful woman I talked to was able to give me the EMH for the week that I was there and even stayed on the phone to help me figure out what days I should do what and where would be the best place to eat. Really she was wonderful!

Thanks. That gets down to exactly what I needed to know.

Just an FYI......don't bother with EMH in the evening at Animal Kingdom. We just got back today and this past week we did EMH DAK and the hours were 5pm to 7pm but, what they don't tell you is that any ride or attraction that invovles animals is closed so no safari ride, no pocahantas show, etc. Not sure about the EMH in the am there but we did EMH at MK in the morning and that worked out very well. Low crowds, and less wait times.

Loved evening EMH in DAK! And yes, some things do close early (hence the "up to 3 hours" disclaimer). The park takes on a very different atmosphere at night, it's one of our favorite times.

For future reference, the WDW website has complete lists of all attractions and shows open for both morning and evening EMH.
No offense intended, but it shouldn't have come as a complete surprise if you did some research on EMH before your trip. (If you looked up which days were which parks before your trip, the info is on the exact same page)

Thanks for helping out here, your insight is most helpful. Nothing like a friendly and courteous response to a member with a question.

I deleted the quotes of hemloc's rude response.

There is no reason to respond to a legitimate question with a rude response, even if the answer may be obvious to you. People should be willing to share their knowledge in a particular area, rather than look down upon those who lack it. No one is an expert in all things, and we all ask "obvious" questions from time to time, regardless of our education, experience, or intelligence.

If Google was the be all and end all for gathering information, this forum wouldn't have any members. ;)

Sorry.. but you are wrong on this. On Disney's website it lists the EMH hours for each park and also tells you what attractions are open during each parks EMH. Check it out and you will see.

Also not all rides and attractions are open at the other parks for EMH either. It pays to check this stuff out.

Also we did the PM EMH at AK last year and the kids had a blast. They had a DJ in Dinoland and some of the characters out dancing with the kids. We did not do EMH this year but I don't think this was part of the EMH this year.

SoundStage, I also noticed that you were looking at doing your ADRs at the 90 day mark; as it has been a while since you have been at the World, you can now do your ADRs at the 180 day mark. This is a must if you are looking to get into some of the more popular or the "princess" dining experiences. Also if you are going at a busy time it would be advisable to make the ADRs at the 180 day mark. When I booked my trip over the phone I was given the date that marked the "180" for our trip by the wonderful CM on the phone. Have a great time.

The res system is being refitted ( see JPs posts) as a result you are currently only able to book 90 days out, so I believe this will affect bookings from Jan onwards for a few months.

I hope we aren't all confusing the poor person who started this thread-- if we are just a little recap about the ADRs...

Currently the ADR system is being worked on so you can only book 90 days in advance, though I have heard that some of the restaurants can still be booked farther out than that. I don't know that for sure though.

Anyway, once that is done you will be able to book 180 days out, 190 if you stay on site.

I don't know just when you are going or when the system will be done so yeah...

Good luck! Like I said before my CM was wonderful and really really helpful.:D

EMH also change from time to time from what's posted on the Disney site. Sometimes to make room for hard-ticket nights and sometimes for no readily obvious reason. So even after you've made your plans, check back to confirm they still are viable as you get closer. Last week the DHS PM EMH I was expecting just wasn't there. It had been dropped sometime between when I made my plans and when we arrived. It wasn't a big deal, we had enough heat that an earlier night wasn't a bad thing.
