Ellen's Energy Adventure

I can pretty much sum this up in one word....... BORING!!!

Hope I don't offend anyone but I couldn't wait to get out of there. 45 minutes is way too long for something like that at Disney.

P.S. It has nothing to do with Ellen... I love her and think she is one of the funniest people around.

<sigh> This is a contributing reason to why attractions like Horizons and World of Motion no longer exist and why Carousel of Progress is on borrowed time. Not enough "thrills" to entertain today's society.

Attractions like Universe of Energy offer a nice variety to things like Mission Space and Test Track. Not everyone can handle being "launched" to Mars and sometimes 45 minutes of air conditioned entertainment is a nice change in Florida.

I find this ride very entertaining. The audio on all the films are fantastic. And I love the amount of detail in the dinosaur section. When I went on it a couple weeks ago, it seemed too dark in the dino section. I couldn't see hardly any of the small aa's.

But I have a question... Am I and my Girlfriend the only ones who thinks Ellen's AA looks nothing like Ellen, and ALOT like a Chinese man?:ROFLOL:

It's not the best, it's not the worst. I will save that title for Stitchs Great Escape. :ROFLOL: It's entertaining and AIR CONDITIONED, as everyone else has said. If you like Ellen, which I do, you'll enjoy it.

The attraction in a nutshell (both the old and new versions)...

"Energy is very important. Hey, look! Dinosaurs!"

I absolutely love the ride system. It's one of the most unique in any theme park. And boy is that ride building huge!

My first thoughts were not "Chinese Man" but I will agree with you that it looks absolutely nothing like her!! It's almost shameful that they can make such extraordinary AAs and her's is so sad.

It was awesome when it opened many years ago. Now its dated and too long.
You have to ride it once though.

Its kinda dark so the video I have is not the best.

Personally, I love Ellen...and the fact that it has references to Jeopardy! makes the attraction even better!

But seriously, if you like Ellen, you'll like this ride. I ride it at least once each trip!

Right, Ellen is simply your host and goes on an adventure with Bill Nye the Science Guy to learn about Energy. So you hear/see them a lot throughout the ride talking about Energy.
Once you see the whole story, it all makes sense.

Sure, it's not for everyone because it's a slow non-thrill ride (where you might actually learn something *gasp*).
;)

It's a quintessential Disney Edutainment ride...Give it a try.It's fun.

A pschizophrenic attraction in which half is an entertaining film containing moderately dated information about energy and energy conservation and the other half is a ride-through depicting lower quality AA dinosaurs and one Ellen in surprisingly neat environments. The transition and attempt to relate the two is poor, at best.

As others have said before, a good place for some AC if you don't mind being relatively bored for 45 minutes. My girlfriend and I have both fallen asleep on it. For my taste, it's in desperate need of overhaul, refurb, something to make it either relevant, exciting, or both.

Has anyone every ridden Ellen's Energy Adventure at Epcot? What is it

like?

If you like Ellen's sense of humor, you'll love the attraction. Even though I've ridden it so many times I can practically quote the entire thing, I still laugh at Ellen.

Stupid Judy. Stupid energy!

Eh. Personally, I find the thing boring and extremely outdated. The dinos need an overhaul, as does the entire attraction. On the plus side, it is 45 min of relatively comfortable seating with air conditioning. Definitely go and see it if you haven't before, but its old and outdated for my taste,.

You must ride it once, but only if it is raining, or you need a nap, or your feet hurt, or you need to waste 50 minutes until your fast pass for Test Track is ready. Just kidding, I wouldn't see it again unless they make some changes to make it better, but everyone should see it once just to say you did it. :p
