Hey, just had The Ellen DeGeneres Show on in the background and she annouced she will be taping at Universal March 31-April 2. With the ties she has with Disney (UoE, Finding Nemo), do you think she'd swing by the World (not for her show, of course)?

She might, she might not. Maybe she wouldn't just because she knows that there would be people trying to hang all over her and take pictures and get autographs just because of those same reasons you mentioned.

Thats Wrestlemania weekend.. so maybe some WWE superstars will come to the parks

Since she is filming at Universal I know she wouldnt go over to WDW to do any part of her show but it would be a funny segment if she went to UoE and came out of the scene to the surprise of the guest or stood next to herself...like Johnny Depp did at the new POTC.

probably not... shes done what 2 or 3 tapings over at universal now - im suprised she doesnt do something over at disney

the dates this year really sucks that the same weekend as wrestlemania so i hope she doesnt ahve any good guest this time lol i'll be too busy with wm eventsto attend her taping i doubt she will have anyone from wwe since they will air after wm.

From what I understand, she's never even seen Ellen's Energy Adventure.

So...if she's gone this long, I doubt that she would go now. :shrug:

Well her show is on NBC I believe, which is owned by Universal, so I'm sure she's obligated to do it there.

Actually is own by Universal and is syndicated. Just like Regis and Kelly is a Buena Vista and here in Orlando is on NBC, and i think on NY is over CBS.

and just to point out .. i'm prety darn sure thats not her doing dory in the nemo ride at epcot. It sounds to me like a really good character voice actor.

Thank you for pointing that out! When the ride first opened, I posted that same thought on several boards, but it always ended up being a thread killer (um, hope it isn't here :)).

Simple syndication. The channel directly, and not the network get the rights for certain markets. Thats why u can see like Home Improvement on Nick (Viacom / Paramount) or Regis and Kelly on NBC (at least in Orlando). Actually the show is a Warner Bros show taped on NBC Studios.

Many shows are syndicated like Ellen, Regis, etc. Most of your "hollywood news shows" like Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight are the same way.

I have DirecTV and thus get east coast feeds of some networks and Entertainment Tonight is on NBC in my area (MN) and on CBS in NY.

As to Ellen herself, I thought I heard a rumor that her and Disney were on the outs for some reason? Probably heard it here in some Universe of Energy thread.

Funny, Ellen was not popular when used for the ride, now she's terribly popular and the ride is dated with her version.

You all have to remember she was at the taping for UoE... If you think the attraction was boring... I think I would have been traumatized.
