Brick and mortar usually has less stuff than online. What they have listed is pretty generic stuff they do for every Disney line. My stores have no end caps for the movie. There is Stitch stuff however. I miss Toys R Us. Target and Walmart do terrible jobs at re-stocking their shelves.
Its why I always thought this metric that some of you all use of checking for the toys in your local store was silly and pointless. It really doesn't point to much, other than as you said brick and mortar has less stuff than online and don't restock their shelves very often. :)

My local target still has a shelf with picked over toys from the Mario movie. Interestingly the toys based on the actual games are being constantly restocked.

Brick n' Mortar is still where kids see and buy toys. No kid is going to search Amazon for Elio toys. Birthday present shopping by a relative sure.

I don’t think many kids are going to Target or Walmart unless their parents are. And by recent reports from both they are losing foot traffic in general, so yeah make of that what you will.

Online retail is increasing every year, so again make of that what you will.

Of course not. Kids can't drive.

Only 1 more month left until Disney/Pixar’s #Elio hits theaters, with the official Pixar Instagram kicking off the countdown.

While we wait to see its recently classified 4th & final trailer, which is either 1:45 (per Alberta Film Ratings: https://www.alberta.ca/recently-rated-trailers.aspx) or 1:58 long (per the British Columbia Consumer Protection: https://www.consumerprotectionbc.ca/motion-picture-ratings/classification-details/), hopefully this week if Bob Iger and Asad Ayaz didn’t forget (probably on Thursday, if it follows the usual Pixar trailer release pattern), here’s a new pic from the film along with two new international posters showing Elio and his new friend Glordon admiring the beauties of the Communiverse.

Also, tickets for Elio go on sale next Tuesday. So look out for when they go on sale & be ready to get them. I know I’ll be ready to get em myself.

It would seem those sneaky bastards at Disney are attempting to be clever yet risky by having the final trailer for Pixar’s #Elio play in front of the live-action Lilo And Stitch before putting it out online publicly on Tuesday along with ticket presales.

And I know having seen the trailer for myself at my first showing and getting video of it.

Guess Disney’s trying a method they used with the final trailer for #MonstersUniversity back in 2013 when that trailer played before #Epic then went online a few days later.

What do you think?

Should I leak the trailer online to force the hands of Bob Iger and Asad Ayaz in marketing the movie so they ensure it’s a sleeper/breakout hit against all odds?

Or should I let them wait til Tuesday to drop the trailer with the ticket presales?

I don’t want this movie failing but I also don’t want my crusade to make this film succeed to backfire.

Oh no…

I HATE CONFLICT!

WHAT SHOULD I DO? WHAT SHOULD I DO? WHAT SHOULD I DO-HOO-HOO?!?!?

😭😭😭

Gabby's Dollhouse frightens me.

I know!!
I saw this in the theatre…twice….and keep saying to myself -

“WHY…?”
“Why is this a movie…?”
“Who decided this was something that needed to be made into a movie..???”
“Who do they think is going to pay to see this movie…in a theatre…????”

😵‍💫

Just……wow.
Talk about running outta ideas for movies….
And I thought the ‘Smurfs’ trailer was bad.
Yeesh…

Its a movie based on a pretty popular kids show on Netflix (and also shown later on Nick and Nick Jr) of the same name, its created by the same people who created Blue's Clues and made by Dreamworks Animation. The TV show started in 2021, which unless you had a preschool aged child at the time you probably won't know it even existed.

So its just like recent preschool age movies coming to theaters based off TV shows, like Paw Patrol, and I suspect it'll do about the same amount of ticket sales.

Thanks for the insight.

Yeah, I have never heard of this until now, but looking at the trailer I had just assumed it was a line of kids toys.
Which is typically why movies like this are made…to sell toys.

I don't know how many toys its sells, but I know the toy sales aren't what they used to be in general like I was a kid in the 70s and 80s. Personally I only knew about it because I happen to scroll past it one night on Netflix. And then remembered it when I saw the trailer, and looked it up.

Anyways as I mentioned I suspect it'll do about as well as Paw Patrol and other movies that target the preschool aged released over the last few years.

Along with the final trailer now out and tickets on sale now, 6 new posters also dropped online for Disney/Pixar’s #Elio, highlighting 4 different formats to see it in when it lands only in theaters June 20th, including RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and D-BOX, plus early access screenings of the movie happening June 18th along with a new poster for the movie from Fandango too.

Oh I also found a different sort of entrance-like standee for Elio at the AMC Kips Bay 15 in NYC.

Looks like Disney’s now ramping up the marketing for this movie.
