Electrical Water Pageant....About time for a change?

Keep it as is IMHO. The captain of our boat actually turned around a bit so that we could hear/see it up close and get some nice pictures.

If I had to guess, I would have to say it was taken out because it competes with the Osbourne lights at DHS. Just a guess, I don't know for sure.

This was pulled because the Osbourne Lights made it redundant and they wanted it as a draw for DHS, MGM at the time.

Actually, Water Music is not the original. The orignal soundtrack was Baroque Hoedown, which is also the soundtrack for the Main Street Electrical Parade. Water Music was not used until 1977, when MSEP debuted at WDW's Magic Kingdom.

I think the simplicity of EWP is what makes it great, I hope they never change it. It is so relaxing sitting on the poly beach with a drink watching EWP go by.

I've always enjoyed seeing/hearing the nightly Electrical Water Pageant during my stays, but I don't think the actual program of it has been changed for quite a long time. Isn't it about time they changed things up a bit and gave us something new?

I agree, I love the water pageant, I think they should at least change the music, that would be help

I would imagine the technology is outdated, and as cool as that light show was, aren't the Osbourne Lights the same thing taken to another level? I know there are things, such as spinners, that are repeated in the parks, but WDW only really needs one special holiday light show. I think it works better on the facade streets in DHS and is a real draw for the park.

I am only speaking for myself, but our Christmas trips use to be 4 days minimum. Because they keep cutting and cutting, our Christmas trips are now down to 2 days and the only reason we even go into Epcot last year was to watch the Peace on Earth tag. We will be doing an Illuminations fireworks cruise this year and do not plan to go to Epcot at all which might get us down to a day trip this year

I haven't read the other responses yet, but I loved that it was so old-fashioned and quaint when I first saw it a few years ago.

You know, they told me that this was a huge secret when they preselected my family for this, so I don't understand how you found out about it, but I think that it will be oodles of fun for us. I'm already practicing my lip-syncing.
