Electrical Parades gone, now what?

I miss SpectroMagic, That parade was far better then MSEP. Let's bring that one back. Stupid cheap TDO.

Just watched the MSEP video. That parade was great too. What the eff man, why can't WDW have a nighttime parade?

No arguing... I was just trying to dig up sone light parade dirt. Now if anyone happens to see a float lit up back stage or has herd a thing or 2 spots a Spectromagic zombie apocalypse please post. Now does anyone know if they will be running Festival of Fantasy at night or in the evening?

Like I said, entire life there's been a light parade. They haven't been without one since the 70s. They screwed up with Spectromagic, they should have bought it back right as the 90 days ended before it got destroyed after 2 years of exposure now they have to build an entire new parade. I wonder what the techs at Disneyland will be saying when they get their parade back.

I think WDW will bring back the electrical parade along with some sort a Christmas show like the osbourne lights eventually.

You know why - The parks have to show increasing profitability, Since virtually nothing has been re-invested in the parks that means that ever increasing levels of cuts will be needed to show the parks are becoming more profitable,

Meanwhile down I-4 where they are running their parks like Disney USED TO. Their profitability is FAR better and they are actually ADDING major attractions and shows.

Don't see this changing until Disney has a new management team at the helm.

They are going to give the parade performers the "Glow With the Show" ears that don't sell very well and have them wear them in a parade at night. Kind of like a flash mob they will appear and dance and dazzle with lights and music all over the MK.

Of course every thread you don't like doesn't warrant a snide remark either, generally speaking the best thing to do if you see a thread you don't think should be there is to simply ignore it... At least that would be the reasonable action to take.

Any more word on a replacement? I've never in my life been on a Disney trip and haven't seen a light parade within my 25 years, never have I imagined the Magic Kingdom without a night parade not to mention one of the only 5 shows I actually like in the parks.

I think DL had another type of night show when they shipped the EP to WDW... As I understand it EP will be going back to DL for some more performances before it goes back into the mothballs again... Could be that they will ship the light parade that DL had to WDW in the not to distant future.

Given they have halloween and xmas parades going through the end of the year on nearly half the nights I don't expect them to be in a rush to put something else out there at night until 2017 at the earliest.

Who says they are going to be building anything? If they were just going to pull the parade from DL and use it in WDW they wouldn't need to build anything just ship it in when they needed it.

I don't know how many times that parade can be shipped then be left at Disney World, it barley survived this trip.

I would love a updated Spectromagic....sigh.....we are going for our first Christmas Party....is any of THAT parade electric? Guess that's something I have not seen yet so looking forward to that.

Its the cheesy parade the used to replace the Mainstreet Electric Parade when they shipped it to WDW...I think it was call Paint the Night and got its final showing Sep of this year... So it might make sense if the were to ship it to WDW now in exchange for getting MEP back.

I wouldn't be to surprised, but if Disney Workd doesn't get it that probably means MSEP is going to have a short run or PTN is going overseas. That's fine I never liked it any way.
