Electrical Parade refurbishment?

Probably not. They will just do what every other Disney park does and just run the same parade twice a day in the afternoon and the evening.

I certainly hope that it gets refurbed. MSEP to me is one of those timeless classics of Disney at this point. And I like having separate day and night parades

God bless the "Ignore" button.
It'd kinda' be like making sure the corpse in the coffin is looking pretty. So no. Disney has no respect for the dead.

Well, it is kind of convenient that the Electrical Parade will "temporarily leave for refurbishment" when Festival of Fantasy comes out. What dumpster, I don't see no dumpster, and those tents... thats just Spectromagic. I bet those shiny new Festival of Fantasy units have some nice c 9 lightbulbs outlining them. I bet there installing new lights along the route for "special events" to while there at it.

What exactly is wrong with the Electrical Parade?
I saw it earlier this month, and while it was certainly dated it at least looked like it was designed to.
I assumed it's appeal at this point is linked to nostalgia.

The electrical parade is a Disney classic and should not go away. I enjoyed it as a kid and now enjoy even more watching it with my own kids.

Agreed. And the storage issue that was the case with Spectro in theory should not be a problem. WDW definitely has storage space for two parades at the MK -- FOF can be stored where CADCT is currently housed and the MSEP can be kept in its current storage location. The (reported) issue with Spectro is that the floats were not stored properly and so it was damaged due to exposure to the elements.

They are only running a half baked version of msep right now, its def not the parade it use to be. It was over last night after Petes Dragon, there was no America finale segment or anything and some of the other floats that use to be inbetween werent part of it anymore either. They really are trying to get by with as little as possible with entertainment, which is becoming a ripoff to the paying customer. I heard more complaints about that from people all weekend, not just about msep but about the other parks too especially the studios.

I know with Spectromagic if there were storms within a certain ammount of miles from the park they would leave Chernobog and the little mermaid units out. The bigger units tend to get stuck in the rain. There's a video of the whole finale getting towed out in a downpour, it didn't even make it past the castle. I do know that the whole parade was they're a few weeks ago. This is a slow season, maybe there making repairs.

Was this just one show or multiple runs?
Stuff goes wrong all the time and if a float is immobilized at the wrong spot it can be tricky or impossible to maneuver the rest of the parade around it.

It was the 10pm second show last night, Im not sure about the 8pm run. Just seemed like a lot was missing. There were very few characters in it too.
