Electrical Parade refurbishment?

Does anyone know when and at what point did the actual soundtrack change? The synthesizer sounds very different today than it did back in the 70's!
When it came back for its "limited" run during the 2010 Summer Nightastic promo, it arrived with the new soundtrack. It's a partial lift of the Tokyo Dreamlights version. The TDL version starts with the synth style and slowly converts to an orchestral version, which is actually pretty good. Personally, I hate the new synth portion-which is all they use here in Florida. It doesn't sound organic, like the original. Its all digital-very clean and cold sounding. Way too crisp. Sort of like the difference between the old incandescent lightbulbs and the new LED bulbs.

Agreed...The charm went away. I have some of the old bootleg keyboard demos of the original Baroque Hoedown and they work. I've seen the performances where Jean Jacques Perrey plays it live and the crowd always goes nuts.

I would love to see them use Magical or something similar as a soundtrack and maybe use Baroque Hoedown for the Casey Jr unit. Something has the charm and warmth of Spectromagic but just spunky enough to fit the Electrical Parade. Of course have an instrumental version thru out the parade except for the announcement and the cavalcade. And then have Jiminy Cricket as the host. They can Play Baroque Hoedown on the Casey Jr unit. Baroque Hoedown for 15-20 minutes drives me nuts.
