Electric Light Parade Question

Spectromagic is cute, however, I personally liked the Electric Light Parade better. I guess I just have fond memories. You'll like the new one though. It is a great way to end the day. (Wishes is a better way to end the day)...(Wishes and a Dole Whip is the best way to end the day!)

As you may know, the original Electrical Parade is at DCA, although I think it's on hiatus until summer, possibly spring break.

Cheers.

Spectromagic is incredible! I love the lights and music. But, I do agree wishes is ten times better than the old fireworks shows!!! Maybe that's just me though!

Wow... the MSEP.... went in 1991/2 didn`t it?

It was gone before I went on my honeymoon in 93 which was a big dissapointment for me as I loved it. They brought it from Disneyland though not long ago. When I went in 2000 they had it and it was gone again by 2004.

I think the one from WDW is acutally in Tokyo now (at least that is what I read), the one they had in 2000 was the one from Disneyland and it is back now at DCA.

Wasn't it brought back in 1999? I'm sure I saw it then!

If I'm right IMHO Spectromagic isn't a patch on it - I miss Pete's Dragon!

It was back for a bit, you are right.

I miss the music most of all. The Spectro music is OK, but not as good as the original. Spectro music was changed once too. When I saw it on my honeymoon, it said Spectro....Magic over and over. I have asked on this site if anyone remembers that and nobody responded but I did ask my wife recently and she remembers it as well.

Anyway, the music now is better than that was...

Has anyone heard the music to Tokyo' version and Paris' version of MSEP? Allthough parts of them I obiously can not understand they are still really great to listen to.
Tokyo's version is known as MSEP Dream Lights and the Paris version that I have heard is their Christmas version. Does anyone know if there is/was a normal version at Paris?

The MSEP was gone by 1993; I`m sure Spectro premiered late 91/early 92.

For those wanting a new twist on the whole Baroque Hoedown theme as madame leota 19 said check out the audio from TDL`s MSEP Dreamlights - it`s fantastic (IMHO)!

The MSEP ran at WDW from June 1977 - Sept 1991. It was replaced on Sept 30th, 1991 by SpectroMagic. The WDW version was shipped to then titled EuroDisneyland for it's opening in April of 1992 where it ran until March of 2003 when it was replaced by Fantillusion. After the MSEP ran it's final run at Disneyland in 1996, it was shipped to New York City for the premiere of Hercules where it ran down 5th Ave. After the premiere it was then shipped to florida where it sat in the North Services Area exposed to the elements until 1999 where it was given a top to bottom rehab and rolled down Main Street in May of 1999 until April 2001. Where then it was shipped to Disney's California Adventure where it now resides. It's name was changed to Disney's Electrical Parade: A California Classic.

what's this I hear about the original WDW (not DL) MSEP floats (with the Tokyo floats that were added for the DLRP run) being presently in storage and rehab in WDW at Central Shops?

I could raise a BS flag, but this is something that is remotely feasible

There is only one Fantillusion. TDL is where Fantillusion began -it ran from 21st July 1995 to May 15th 2001. It was then packed and shipped (not in full) to France when MSEP Dreamlights took over in Tokyo. Once Fantillusion arrived in DLP it was found to be in a right mess - whilst at sea a storm had hit the boat, and the floats needed major repair work, plus the electrics needed a total refit. This put the 2002 opening back to March 23rd 2003.
