This was never a ride that worked in my opinion. The only reason anyone liked it was because it was awful or because it was the last remaining reminder of "If You Had Wings". I'm not excited about it because its bringing in the 3 cabelleros. I'm excited for it because I think it could actually work and be worth looking at for once.

I guess I'm still annoyed that the ride never lived up to that opening scene. That opening scene was so special and amazing and then you got the ride. Blech.

I ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING OF VALUE TO ADD.

Tejas was the original spelling of Texas. It was never pronounced "Tay-Haas" by Mexicans. That was the Americans trying to read Tejas. The "J" sound in spanish is like a slight "hocking" sound (as in hocking a luug--almost like the famous German Hocking sound). Phonetically it would be a very slight, very little "k"ish sound.

Tejas = Tekk-ish

Now for my unsolicited Texas history lesson. Tejas is the Spanish spelling of the word Taysha. This word loosely means friend, it comes from the Caddo tribe. A very powerful tribe that laid claim to areas of modern day Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas. Caddo Lake the only natural lake in Texas is named after this tribe. I believe the Caddo nation still exisit today in Oklahoma

There's going to be a Orange Team and a Green Team.
The Orange Team will take you through the ride and you'll get to experience the extreme 0.000001 lateral G-forces the ride produces (expectant mothers should not ride).

The Green Team will have a screen drop down at the loading area. You'll sit in the boat and it will be a 1 camera shot ride through of the ride.
