EE - What a Great Ride

Well, I finally rode EE with my parents after getting a bit of feedback that would help my mum ride it.

It was a lot better than I expected, however, I was dissapointed in the way some WDWMagic member described the backwards portion of the ride. Most that replied to a thread I created said it was a backwards helix. By helix, on a rollercoaster, I am used to a track that can descend or ascend in a spiral with out any dips or anything in the track.

However, when riding EE, it is more of a track that curves but includes the odd dip too.

All in all, one hell of a good ride.

The first time I went on EE was back when the ride had it's "Soft Opening".
No lines at all so I missed alot of the details of the base camp museum. I hadn't heard about the ride & I closed my eyes through alot of it. How silly is that...Closing your eyes while you're in the dark? At the end of the ride I looked at my friend & we both said " You want to go again?" like little kids. So we ran around to get on it again. The second time I kept my eyes open for the entire ride & had a blast. Now there are lines & I get to see the details of the base camp. At least the lines usually move quickly so it's not a hassle waiting & there's lots of details to look at. & we still say "You want to go again" at the end of the ride & get right back on the line. I love EE

It is a helix. It is just steeper and banked more than most, I suppose. Plus, it is backwards. I would imagine most track effect are amplified when taken backwards.

Anywho, glad you enjoyed the ride.

I rode Everest for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I have a brand new favorite coaster. It was awesome. "One hell of a good ride" is a great way to describe it!

I hate EE!!! Yes, throw the stones! I guess I'm just getting old or something. I didn't like going backwards at all. My at the time 8 year old daughter was laughing at me. She loves it!

It is one of the newfangled backwards helix dipper doodads. Truly cutting edge technology.

I love the backwards helix.......it's pretty tame compared to some of the coaster helixes I've experienced.
Ever rode the Beast at Kings Island? Ouch!

I love EE as well. I thought the backwards part was great but I rode it too many times in a short span. :hurl: I would definitely ride it again though!
