While I'll admit that it was disturbing that the healthcare workers caught Ebola and that one of them was given permission to fly when she was starting with the symptoms, there are so few cases right now that while it is good to be prepared and use extreme caution when dealing with Ebola patients, no, it does not prevent me from going to WDW. There are far more diseases that you would be more likely to catch and die from, unless you want to live in a bubble...

So I noticed that so far you have started threads about fights, power outages, fire alarms, asbestos removal, and now ebola. I just want to get out in front of this...

I have not witnessed floods, earthquakes, a riot, bubonic plague, or athletes foot at WDW. No sandstorms or malaria either. :)

It's like that kid in Gamera vs Guiron who kept going on about traffic accidents.

There have been only 2 transmitted cases in the US out of how many millions of people? There will be more (and I hope I'm wrong), but this wont't stop me from going anywhere. For now.

There is a good chance they will have an effective vaccine within the next year and a half.

But only, what, 1 in the US? Maybe 2? So, odds are still pretty darn good of getting to Florida and back alive. Win!

Yeah you're more likely to die of an undiagnosed heart condition than die of Ebola at Disney.

Two contracted in the U.S., neither of whom have died as yet.

I think the OP has gotten an answer. No, at this point, the majority of people are not changing any travel plans (unless visiting certain Africans countries with an ongoing epidemic was on their bucket list) so there is no need for further discussion. In fact. I still wouldn't hesitate to visit relatives in Dallas. Although the niece who insisted that anyone visiting her newborns had to have a DPT booster is probably freaking out a bit. ;)
