Easter Parade

Does anyone know if they will televise the Easter parade on ABC this year? I know that in recent years they have stopped doing that (at least here in Massachusetts). Does anyone know why they stopped. I used to love watching it.

I don't know why they don't televise the Easter Parade any more. I used to enjoy watching it on Easter morning, it was one of the things I looked forward to every Easter.

As far as I know... there will not be an Easter parade this year. I had a guest ask me this, and when I called WDW Info, that's what they told me.

Its not in my TV Guide. That stinks. I don't think they done one for like two years now.

I think they should bring it back next year and also make the Christmas one better this year.

No they actually didn't. I worked last Easter so it might of been one and I wasn't home but I don't remember them having one cause my parents usually tape them.

if they do have it on tv after a few years off, they should have it on 5 and 6, both abc stations here. they had the christmas parade on channel 5 but we don't get because of the news channel

They havent had a parade since 1999 in which D.L. Hugley was one of the hosts. They havent had a parade from Disney World since, with the exception of the Christmas special where part was in WDW. My friend in WDW Entertainment tells me that there will be an Easter parade on Main Street but it will not be aired on televison.

sad to saty it, but your friend is wrong. They will be holding only a pre-parade, prior to the Share a Dream Come True parade. The same one they had last year.

What I ment was they won't be showing the actual easter morning parade that you would see if you were at Main Street in the Magic Kingdom on easter morning.

Really. I will have to talk to my friend then. What he told me is that there would be no "easter morning parade" on television. He failed to tell me there would be no Main Street parade at all. Thanks.

yeah, they haven't held that parade in about 3 years..

even when they showed it in 1999, it was only a replay of the 1998 parade w/ new narration and it showed the new rides...

thanks to all the people who did so much research!!!! I am sorry to say I dont think it is gonna be televised either!!!! I loved my Easter Parade!!! Is this part of the cutbacks?? Hopefully once the economy bounces back maybe we will have this again!!! Also for a year or two they didnt broadcast the Christmas Parade eitehr!! That was the end fr me. I wrote a letter to Al Weiss and I guess a lot of other people did too cuse two years later it was BACK!!!! 49 more days till Disney and Riverside WOO HOO!!!
