A company like TWDC would likely get permission first even for a joke. I'd be surprised if there wasn't an OK by Warner Brothers. Inside the industry, contacting each other is likely pretty easy for something like this. I'd be shocked if they did it without permission because I'd imagine legal would like to avoid dealing with an infringement dispute.

Look at Uni and Hollywood Rip Ride & Rock-it (is that the actual name?). They had a whole bunch of songs available for selection as on-ride music at the beginning that they never had the rights for.

Who said they never had the rights? Obtaining music rights isn't difficult you can do it through the record label which a lot of artists could even be under Universal Music Group. I think there was some sort of issue with certain hidden songs with their music videos but the video is deactivated in such cases.

Sorry I don't have a picture, but it's at the top of the exit path, look to the right, and it's layered through a few different things. I'll see if I can take a picture tomorrow, because next to the solar Mickey, it's the coolest hidden Mickey I've seen.
