Early May crowd levels??

Is anyone able to report on crowd levels now that Easter is over?

For the first 2 weeks of May, Touring Plans is predicting from 3 to 7 out of 10 for crowds. We've always like early May. Crowds are usually not that bad.

Ok I saw the crowd levels and the numbers on a scale of 1-10
but how do you equate a wait time to those numbers

For example a crowd level of 1 equals a 10 min avg wait for rides.

What is the wait time for these crowd levels?

I don't think there is a wait time associated with crowd levels. All depends on the attraction. Just makes sense if the crowd level is a 1, you can probably just walk on a ride. :shrug:

The first time we visited DW was around May, perhaps towards the end of May. For someone who had never been to WDW that time but been to DL countless times, I'd say the crowd level was nothing

I guess the fact that WDW has 4 huge parks so people are equally spread out, really helps with the crowdness level.

The crowd ranking does not equal a wait time. It is safe to assume that the lower the crowd ranking, the easier it is to get on the rides b/c there are just less people to deal with. My DH and I traveled to WDW when it was a level 3, and we walked on almost all the rides. But we still had to wait for Peter Pan - 50 mins every time we tried - and Toy Story Mania - only got to ride twice - once we waited in line for 45 mins and got a fast pass for the 2nd time.

At the beginning of May, you are pretty good. School is still in session and Spring Breaks are over. So it is a good time to go.

My sister, my mother and myself are traveling to WDW on Saturday and we've never been during May. We usually go during peak times when it's 8-10 crowd levels (Thanksgiving or Spring Break) and honestly it never seems that crowded to me :shrug: Maybe we're just used to the big crowds.... So I guess with 3-6 crowd levels predicted for next week the park will seem deserted to us! :lol: Let's hope touringplans is pretty accurate with their predictions!

The beginning of May is a great time to go. I have been several times and the weather and the crowds couldn't be beat!
