Early Epcot Closing 10/9

Quick trip planning question. I know Epcot is closing early (3:00) for their special event on 10/9/03 (and darnit, I didn't get my invitation). I was wondering, do the other parks get crowded when another park closes early. With Epcot closing at 3:00 and AK closing at 5:00, does this make MK and Studios extra crowded. I think we may try to avoid the parks that afternoon.

I have never been there when a park is closed or closes early.

It would seem logical to me...3 pm is still early enough to get a lot done at one of the other parks.

I think Disney is expecting folks to flock to the Magic Kingdom, as it will be open until 10 p.m. on October 9, with *two* Spectros and the new Wishes fireworks.

I'll be at the media event October 9. If someone is willing to type up some phone conversations, I can provide near real-time updates as to what's going on (Sample Mission:Space quote: "I'm spinning...spinning...spinning....bllaaaarrgghhhhh") And if anyone has any ideas on how to get photos up very quickly, let me know.
