I'm almost embarrassed to admit, but I made a profile on E-Harmony. They are having one of their free weekends, so I thought, why not? Plus I've come to realize that I have been spending so much time trying to make my family members happy that I have forgotten to make myself happy.

Anyhow, I'm just wondering if anyone else here has used E-Harmony, and what kind of experience you have had. Good or Bad/

I have not heard many of my friends use this much. I have heard more people talk of Plenty of Fish. I think because it doesn't cost guys to send and receive messages like most sites today charge.

Sorry, no help here. Hubby and I have been together for 29 years, since high school.

However, I just thought I'd weigh in and wish you the best of luck.

Meet a few guys. Do some chatting. Go on a few dates. And who knows, maybe meet your one true love.

But most of all - learn how to make yourself happy again.

The last line is the most important part. Without making yourself happy 1st then meeting or dating a guy won't matter. You have to love you before loving another properly.

My brother and sister and law met on E-harmony and have been married 7 years. Also a good friend met and married her husband on E-Harmony.

I have friends and family who have had great luck with eharmony. Be yourself. And if you choose to upload a picture, make sure it's recent and conceals the goods...you don't want to give the wrong message.

Might be a safe idea to set up an alternate email just for eharmony/online dating, just in case you do meet weirdos, they won't have your typical email addy. You can always delete "throwaway" accounts.

Have fun!

I joined Plenty of Fish just to help coax my girlfriend into trying to meet someone. I had 83 hits in two weeks--she didn't have any replies to her messages she sent---I didn't send any. I'm about to delete POF because either these chumps are desperately lonely and needy or they want a hook up. If I really want to try to meet someone; I think I will try Zoosk....
