You better believe I will be the first to resurrect this thread as soon as the Contemporary DVC is announced and that the model rooms are right next to the AKL villa model rooms!!

There was more shared with me by the CM that I choose not to post out of respect for them.

I can only imagine the comments I'll get now for implying I may know more than I care to share. I guess thats why my post count is so low even after being a member of these boards for seven years!!

Not according to the plans on file.

I find it entirely plausible that there is a mock up of a Contemporary room at SSR. Like was mentioned, many hotels do mock ups to determine layout, furniture feasibility, etc. Too bad we'll be at OKW on our trip next month, or else maybe I'd do snooping around SSR to find The Room.

Was the CM a DVC guide (salesperson)? The Guides are typically the last to know "officially" as they are required to disclose any information like future development. I would be suprised if a guide was the one telling you about resorts that have not been officially announced by DVC. I asked our guide about the contemporary rumor (this was before AKL was announced) and her response was "I've heard that rumor too" She then told me what I said above.
On our last trip in May we stopped by the DVC center to see the AKL rooms and had someone take us over to them. I don't think he was a DVC guide because I knew more about AKL villas than he did.
I hope you're right about the Contemporary rooms. I would have a hard time not puchasing some points there.

When we added points in April of this year we were told by our DVC rep that it was going to be for DVC, he even showed us on a piece of paper that he drew about how it should look, with a climate controlled bridge that went from one resort to the other to make it easy to hop the monorail or buses. We never asked about the new resort he just told us.

As for the naysayers, I could care less if you believe me or not, I have been a member and daily reader of these boards for almost seven years and always get a chuckle out of the immediate credibility bashing that comes from some of the "rumors" that are posted.

Tim I believe ya! We were there in July and saw the door your talking about. I also "wondered" a little while wife was being led around. Keep Posting....Keeps things fresh.:animwink:
