Are former DVC members a real problem at the DVC events, Most that I've attended have been 'thinly' attended to say the least, especially since the 'no questions will be allowed Annual Meeting format started'
The Merry Mixer I attended this last year was packed. I can't say how many people were former members but would guess it was < 1% Not too many would have the kahoonies to try to enter an event they didn't belong in.

A few years back I had an enlightening chat with a sales rep at one of the big timeshare resale offices. When I mentioned all the stripped DVC contracts, she mentioned they see folk buying loaded contracts, using up the points and reselling them all the time. I can't imagine the hassle, but it sounds like an expensive hobby to me. These folk would have quite a few expired membership cards in their possession.

Start with @marni1971 's videos - http://www.martinsvids.net/?p=95

It had a great sherman brothers song... the ride itself was cute and not like other experiences you would have outside the pavilion.. and at the time the play area had really good interactive stations and some things that just you'd never forget.. like the massive pin tables.

The lobby was open and lead to the queue of the attraction... think much like the entrance to living with the land is... but more open, the glass ceiling, two level, lots of purple and HUGE murals.
Just try not to get irrationally angry when @marni1971 shows a side by side-with "what went where" like I did. It's criminal what they did to Figment and Dreamfinder. It's one of the best, but also most depressing videos I've ever watched.

Legally, no, but if you have your father's id and they don't ask for a photo id, you can probably get in. I guess people's moral compass really has gone off kilter in recent years. :(

Yikes. I didn't intend to pretend I was anyone other than myself. That's why I asked the question I'm sorry I bothered to ask. Thanks for the assumption about the integrity of a stranger through a message forum, though.

Sorry, but it seems like way too many people are trying to figure out how to get something they're not entitled to nowadays, especially at Disney, but we see it everywhere we go. I apologize that the statement was made in a reply to you, as I wasn't aiming that part at you, only the initial response that your parents are allowed as the members. Again, my apologies for the confusion.

Wait, so has the back area been gutted or not? Old exhibits demolished? Is this permanent? Any way to see it besides DVC?
My heart sank at this. I have a special place for Imageworks and I really wish I could have seen it before it was demolished. (if it is.)

After reading thru the threads, i couldnt help but thought id help out to recreate the idea on how this would work, while the other exhibits are still there, but mostly it would be covered with a temporary wall - correct?

I took these 2 images that was in a few pages back.. See Attached, its pretty close what it would look like.

I did not notice any glaring mold or other cleanliness issues when we were up there on the Undiscovered Future World tour a few months ago. In fact it was almost disturbingly well maintaned for something that has been sitting abandoned for 15+ years. The remains of the surprisingly-intact Coloring Book room and the Rainbow Tunnel were without any dust or cobwebs which suggests they still have someone cleaning up there regularly.

True. I did not go up there. But when we were there in April, the circular staircase that leads up to the "abandoned" area is not sealed off (staircase lobby), except for some rope barriers. So, I too have a tough time believing that they would let a Moldy room stay open to guest areas. Even though guests cannot go upstairs normally, they would have had to seal it off so that it did not spread mold out into guest areas. since, the air is free to roam about the entire upper and lower areas. LOL. Sounds like the Mold rumors came from some bad sources. Pun intended. :hilarious:

Unless however the mold references are for other areas upstairs that have been sealed off.
