Has anyone heard anything about the opening date for DGFV Resort? I have seen nothing posted about a possible Open Date. I am looking forward to trying out the new property.

There were some charts up on DVC boards that showed point values. They weren't as bad as I thought they would be but they were a bit higher than BLT.

We will be down at AKV for Halloween (10-29 11-3 ). My dw and ds have no desire to stay at GFV.I on the other hand have to try everything.
After selling points for a short period, DVC will give VGF owners a specific window of time to book anything within 11 months. Historically it has been 1-2 weeks.
After that special priority window has passed, non-owners can book anything within 7 months.
The longer DVC waits to start sales, the less owners there will be to book at 11 months. So I guess that's a good thing for those hoping to get a 7 months reservation in late-13, early-14.

I wonder if they will do a preview on the villas to DVC members before they go on "sale"? I will be down there in August and would love a walk through.
Unless DVC has given up all hope of opening in 2013, you can bet that points will be for sale and models open by August. I keep hearing rumblings that they will start selling in May. Guess we'll know if that's accurate or not in about 29 days.

Is there any construction at the DVC preview center? Seems like they would do a mock room there to help sales while the real rooms are under construction. Especially if they start selling 6 months or more before the real thing opens.
They have been tweaking and adjusting a VGF model room at the Saratoga Springs Preview Center for more than a year now. It will open to the public when sales begin.
Can't wait to see what the points are for the rooms.... wonder if it will be worth it to stay there!
