Dumbo update on Disneyworld.com

I wonder if they want to place some of the larger/heavier pieces of the old dumbo in the new area before they open so they do not need to bring in a crane and possibly close it temporarily once it is open?

It will be a crane job regardless. They'll probably do some highly coordinated 3rd shift work, much like they did with Pooh's tree.

No doubt, was just thinking they may want to place both of the bases while the crane is on site and in place.:shrug:

the crane used for these lifts isn't that big.. it can be stored backstage quite easily and brought in in just a few minutes time..


meanwhile.. edwardtc is right, I've seen the new dumbo cars first hand as well.. They are looking VERY nice...... even though none of them have their ears attached yet ;)
