Dumbo reopening delayed until March!

Well, CMs are able to now check out the costumes for Storybook Circus from Costuming, so I think we can safely assume that they're going to be on target with that date.

I checked the official site numerous times after the change was first reported, and was still getting the Feb 17 end date.

Unfortunately, it is currently showing March 11 for the end date.

On the bright side, I noticed a few days ago that the Magic Carpets rehab was pushed back from a February start date to March 1, and now it isn't showing up at all, so it looks like it will be open for the 24 hour Leap Day.

I would have preferred Dumbo open on Leap Day if given a choice, but if it can't be, at least another attraction that wasn't originally going to be, will be.

With 24 hours to work with, the more attractions that are open to give as close to a complete MK park experience as possible, the better! ;)

Yes, it appears the calendar has aligned for everyone now, I am seeing March 11 now also.

Figures. Our last day in the park is going to be the 10th. Oh well. Any chance they soft open this kind of thing?

I have no inside info, but I'd say at least "possibly", especially because of the new "non-queue queue" setup. They may want to do some test runs with actual Guests to make sure things flow the way they're supposed to.

Do you think they're aiming to open both spinners at the same time?

Yes.

It's likely they'd let guests try out the new queue, perhaps even if the ride isn't operational yet. But if they can get one spinner going, there's no reason to think they wouldn't soft open.

But based on the new date, I predict they're shooting for a full-fledged opening with both spinners running.

don't the new park maps say Dumbo, Goofy, and train station will be open at the end of February

There is park map (I think is was in a vacation guide, not the in park map) that showed February, but that date on the official park calendar recently changed to March 12.

bummer, since i was scheduled to be down there when it was originally planned to open. but i'll be back in august and, truthfully, i'm more looking forward to seeing close to a finished product of storybook circus than if they had rushed to open by feb 17.
