drop on Expedition Everest

Thank you too. It can be very frustrating when someone pushes you to "just try it!" because they have no concept of how terrifying it is for you.

I completely agree. I love coasters, but my boyfriend.. not so much. We went on RotM in Universal because we didn't know anything about it, and he was terrified of it and grumpy for the rest of the day... til we saw Cirque, anyway.
But in Disney, he loved BTM and he went on Splash because it's my favorite ride and he wanted to see what all the hype was. He said he liked it (I'm sure he meant everything but the drop,) but he'd never go on it again.
That's fine =)

Hard to compare EE to BTMRR. The EE drop is bigger than anything on BTMRR, but much smoother. It's not as bad as it looks. Probably the scariest part for many people (if you don't like heights) is climbing to the top just before entering the mountain.

While I would agree that EE doesn't exactly compare to BTMRR...... the drop is higher than any hill on BTMRR, EE travels backward through turns in the dark, and is faster. But you stated the drop was your major concern. I am pretty sure the drop on EE isn't as steep as Splash.

Again if the drop is your only concern..... I say try and judge for yourself... You'll never know if you don't. It isn't as bad as it looks from the ground.
Besides you don't want to make the Yeti any angrier!!!

If you don't like drops, I suggest you not to ride in the front. In my oppinion that is the best seat on the ride, but during the drop you are going straight down. It is a blast.
I have a picture of the inlaws in the front. I will try to find it and post.
I am sure you will love it!!!

Try the back! It's a blast. We tend to prefer the back. Of course, I also like the back row, middle seat on ToT...

OK. I am the same way you are. I can take inversions, loops, backwards, and just about anything else. I can not take traditiontal coaster drops.

I asked this question before my trip. We just got back.

First I tried RnRC for the first time on the last night it was open. When I was done I was so mad at myself for not going on this ride before. I went on it four more times that night. It takes of pretty fast, but it never drops. it curves and loops, kinda reminded me of a fast version of space mountain.

My next coaster to get the nerve up to try was EE. My DH was really hoping I would go on. The climb up the steep hill really messes with your mind. Do not worry there is not drop at this point of the ride. Next you ride over some bumps and it is setting up for the backwards part and the Yeti. The drop comes after the Yeti, but if you looks at the picture posted above you can see the track starts to curve part way down the drop. This really help with me and my stomach never feels the dropping motion. I have found that if the tracks curves like this on rides it really cuts out the drop feeling.

I loved this ride. I rode the first time with my eyes closed the whole time. My stomache needs to get used to the ride before my eyes can see everything. I rode 3 more times with my eyes wide open and am so glad I did both RnRC and EE.

My DH then tried to get me on ToT. This I did not try. Sorry DH maybe next time. NOT
