The magic mirror animated segment would not work in a show viewable from 360 degrees.
That is true. However the show will also have water screen projections so nothing to say the mirror could not be projected onto them as well. Many of the drone shapes appeared to be in 3D for 360 degree views.

I thought it was WDW that had the X-wing drones.
You could be right, since both Rise attractions opened several weeks apart maybe I'm misremembering where it actually occurred.

Point was that the domestic Disney Parks have had them, so whether WDW or DLR they have used drones at least sparingly. So its not like they couldn't again even if this particular testing isn't for either resort. This idea that the FAA won't let them is an internet urban legend, especially since the no-fly zone was at the request of Disney themselves originally anyways.
