Drinking around the world... have you done it? tips? suggestions??

Hello everybody, This is my first post but i've been reading the forums for a few months now. Im turning 21 in june and am going to epcot with some friends to drink around the world!!!

i was wondering if anyone had any tips, advice, suggestions, or really just any kind of fun info to give me.

Just so you know i've used the search function theres not a whole lot of info on this but i was hoping to get current info so anything you can give me would be a great help!!

thankyou
Alex

1 - Take lots of time, a whole day if you can spare it.
2 - I start in Canada so that I get to Japan a little earlier than starting in Mexico. That sake really hits me.
3 - Drink lots of water throughout.
4 - I try and grab something small to eat in every other country or so, just to keep food on my stomach.
5 - Celebrate like crazy when you're finished!!

My only advice is not to miss the Grey Goose slush at the kiosk in France, the margaritas in Mexico and the sake served at the bar at the back of the department store in Japan! That's about as far as I got before the world began to spin:D. I also hear the wine in Italy is fantastic. Enjoy the attempt!

great point on the Japan sake stop. whew that's rough.

Take your time, I also like to start in Canada with a Moosehead and finish it off in Mexico with a margherita for Illuminations.

and definately get some snacks every now and then.....have fun and make sure you take pictures.

If your bellydancing by the time you get to Morrocco you better slow it down..:ROFLOL:

oh and dont finish it off with a ride on M:S big mistake:hurl:

Also keep an eye on the prices.. I know at the UK pavilion you can get a bass at the stand in front of Rose & Crown.. But if you walk just a few steps past it to the fish and chips stand you can get the same beer, same size and all for 75 cents cheaper. At least that's how it was in March. Could save you a enough to get a funnel cake by the time you get to America :slurp:

Welcome to the boards!

A group of 4 of us did drinking & eating around the world just a few weeks ago. My biggest tip is to try to do eating along with drinking. Or at least eat something beforehand. Having 11 drinks w/out any food didn't sound like a great idea to us.

Also, in some countries we would split things. It helped the cost stay lower, and it helped us from drinking toooo much. Another fun thing we did was take a picture holding our drinks in each country to remember what we had. It's one of the most fun things we ever did at WDW - have a great time!

Get wine in Italy & Sangria in Morocco!! :D

I agree with everyone els, drink water, eat, share, have fun!
Don't miss-
Mexico Margaritta (if you wan to take the time to sit down the ones inside are the best on property but the ones from the cart aren't bad either)
Grey Goose Slushie (think soft frozen lemonade with Grey Goose yummy)
Wine or Belini in Italy
Sam Adams in America
My husband says the Harp in England

Take your time, and make sure you hydrate plenty before hand and snack along the way. And if others are slowing down do not start drinking doubles at the different countries while you wait.

Pace yourself.

Eat a good meal before you start and eat regularly as you go.

Don't be afraid/ashamed to stop before you've had too much.

If you've just become legal [and haven't been cheating a lot :lookaroun] your body will not handle a lot of alcohol in a short period of time, if you do throw up - don't continue drinking, that's a sure road to alcohol poisoning.

Here is something I put together awhile back for a friend of mine attempting the same thing;

The 11, or for the more daring 13, beers of Epcot is a challenge attempted by many but difficult to accomplish. Essentially it requires a person to consume one beer in each of the 11 nations of the EPCOT World Showcase. The Cool-spot and Promenade are refreshment stands only and are optional. I

If traveling around the World Showcase counter-clockwise here is a list of the counties in the order you will encounter them and the available beers. Beer drinking nations such as Germany, the United Kingdom and others offer additional beer choices.

Mexico
Dos XX
Norway
Carlsberg
China
Tsing Tso
Cool-spot
Michelob
Germany
Lowenbrau
Italy
Moreti
American Adventure
Sam Adams
Japan
Kirin
Morocco
Casa
France
Kronenbourg 1664
United Kingdom
Bass
Canada
Moosehead
Promenade Refreshments
Bud Light
