Yes, Dreamflight was an experience. It was cheaply done, but wonderful and too often forgotten. It just goes to show that you don't have to have a great script or great animatronics to make a great ride.

Dreamflight was a advertisement for the airlines first eastern and then delta.... I remeber my parents taking us on that ride so we could cool...down..... the air was always so cold.....

Was take flight any different than dreamflight. I was there the day before the name was changed and the day it was changed and remeber it being closed. I went on it like four or five times the day before because it was pleasant, and there was literally no one in line, so if that was the last time "dreamflight" was up and running, then I feel lucky, and if not, I atleast got to experience it before it closed for good.

I really loved Dreamflight. I'm not sure exactly why, though. I think because it was relaxing, there was never a line for it, and I loved the "speed room". I know Buzz still has that, but it's just not the same. I liked the parts when you saw Paris and Tokyo. It was just cute, you know? I usually wanted to ride this first in the MK. It was kind of a tradition with my family.

I remember I went on this ride so much when it was around. It also used to be my favorite ride. I can't remember much of it because the last time I rode it I was around the age of 8.

I liked it but prefered If You Had Wings. It was run by Eastern Airlines and you got wings when you left the ride. Also back when you used tickets for the rides, this one was one of the free rides, along with COP, WEDWay People Mover. Does anyone remember the others, I can't remember now.

And as others have mentioned, the speed room was excellent!

A D-ticket for a ride that has one of the highest capacties in all of WDW?

But I heard that the line used to be so long for Wedway that there used to be switchbacks set up at the base of the tower.

Thanks. I thought CircleVision was but forgot about the others. I loved the Walt Disney Story when I was a kid. I only walked into the Diamond Horshoe and we walked out as my parents did not want to do it.

I am surprised about the WEDWay. I have always thought I remembered it being free. It is still one of my favorites in the park. It is so nice for aching feet...

Yep, Mission to Mars was closed for Alien Encounter. Originally Flight to the Moon until 1975, both these early `simulators` made great use of rear screen projections, sub bass audio, and remember THOSE seats - cushions inflated with compressed air that would inflate and deflate to simulate G-Force... who needs a Centerfuge?? LOL!

I'm not complaining about what they replaced it with, but even when i was a young child, I would look forward to the ride with "The big book" at the end. ;) Dreamflight. *huggles*I was very upset when they closed it down...it wasn't fancy or anything, just a nice relaxing ride with wonderful scenery to look at....not what many people look forward to today. :( I don't think I ever went on "If you have wings". What was that??

I had done both Flight to the Moon and Mission to Mars as a kid, I think it was just a different movie/narration correct?

The last time I did it was in 1993 on my honeymoon. My seat did not work, I was pretty bummed. I should have gotten up and switched seats as the theatre was 80% empty.

Wow, AE was still getting full theatres when it closed. Maybe it was a little early for AE. But then again, the lines would start building on it if the attraction's age would pass 10 years because the attraction would then have to be considered a true Disney attraction.... or not.
