I can't remember if I have asked this before (did a search but found nothing).

Has anyone else noticed there is an, animatronic figure in Phantom Manor, which looks exactly like Dreamfinder. Does anyone know if it's him or not?

He is in the "graveyard" scene, just before you go past the guy serving drinks in the "saloon" I think. He looks like he is going to lift his hat to you, but the whole of his head comes off!

I know the exact figure you are talking about, he is like the mayor of the town and I think he is also holding a key to the city maybe... I don't think it could be the recycled aniamatronic though becuse that ride was there when JII was still there.

I saw him! And if it's not Dreamfinder, it's a dead ringer! I couldn't believe it! We went on PM a second time to try to get a better look, but it's too dark to see the figure close enough to know for sure. We also bought a HUGE book about DL Paris with lots of little quirky information about the park (did you know that in the tiles over the entrance to Adventureland you can find "WDI" hidden!). Dreamfinder wasn't in the book.

Well, it's nearly him!

Apparently, the Mayor figure was created using the same mold as the Dreamfinder character. This happens again in the ride as the 'ticket seller' was cast using the mold of the skeletal hitchiking ghost in the Haunted Mansions.

;)

wow! old thread!

for a second i was thinking "hey, i don't remember posting to this..." before i realized that Ezra has the same icon as i do, anyway......

facial molds get reused all the time, the old world of motion used to be full of chief executives from the Hall of Presidents

another fun tip about the mayor, is that he's actually speaking Paul Frees' intro narration from the U.S. mansions
