Hey MEW, this topic was about to fall off the bottom of the page so I thought I'd bump it back up again, if no one minds! Looking forward to the next instalment.

Thanks for the Bump, And More Jungle Cruise!

Thanks for bumping it up, I've actually been meaning to but I've been so dang busy lately that I...yeah...:D

Anyhow here is a Single Awareness (St. Valentine's) Day present for you all. The next installment in my ride description and overview of the world famous Jungle Cruise!

"We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day
Keep smiling through,
Just like you always do
Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away

So will you please say 'Hello'
To the folks that I know
Tell them I won't be long
They'll be happy to know
That as you saw me go
I was singing this song

We'll meet again,
Don't know where,
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day..."

An old phonograph plays in a seemingly endless loop from the safety of an age-worn desk resting to the northern tip of a cobweb-infested mailing room. Several mail cubbies rest alongside the back edge of the desk, filled with dust and cobwebs and seldom envelopes and packages. A ceiling fan spins wildly in circles above the scene while several abandoned piles of luggage sit below on the dust-covered floor. A lonely baggage cart (Filled with baggage) sits to the corner of the room next to a model globe as the antique phonograph alternates between such songs as "Hooray for Hollywood," "Happy Days Are Here Again," "(I've Got Spurs) Jingle, Jangle," and "Stardust." The marble bust of some big game hunter or jungle explorer sits to the corner of the desk while several scattered papers with blurred writing litter the wooden covering. A writing quill with a fresh cup of ink lies to the side of the papers while the chair made to accompany the desk rests halfway underneath the desk and halfway outside of the desk as if someone was about to push it in but forgot to do so. To another corner of the desk rests the photograph of a beautiful young woman. Who this woman is, is really anyone's guess, but she is absolutely beautiful. Perhaps this young girl is the lover of whoever runs the Paradise Springs Shipping Co. mailing office, or the owner of the entire shipping company all together. Well whoever she is it doesn't really matter, whatever her story is will just have to be left up to our own imaginations.

(I don't think I mentioned this earlier but the mailing room will be held in a little walled off area, kind of like the area in the Disneyland Jungle Cruise Queue which is roped off by a fishing net on all sides. The little area with the chess set and explosive barrels in it.)

The sounds of the jungle get closer and closer as we wind through the boathouse queue, passing beneath whirling ceiling fans and lines of gas lanterns all roped together.

"Stars shining bright above you,
Night breezes seem to whisper, 'I love you';
Birds singin' in the sycamore tree;
Dream a little dream of me...

Say 'nighty-night' and kiss me,
Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me;
While I'm alone and blue as can be,
Dream a little dream of me...

Stars fading, but I linger on, dear,
Still craving your kiss;
I'm longing to linger til dawn, dear,
Just saying this:

Sweet dreams til sun beams find you,
Sweet dreams that leave our worries behind you;
But in your dreams, whatever they be,
Dream a little dream of me..."

At a certain point the queue we enter a library-like area closed off to the jungle and filled with various objects of note. Empty tables and desks lie all about the place as the warm lamps placed upon them continue to glow. Bookshelves filled with exotic-related books (Including such titles as Robinson Crusoe and The Jungle Book) line the walls, as busts and painted portraits of explorers and big game hunters lie about the area. A huge map of the earth spans across one wall while a stuffed black panther "prowls and growls" beneath its frame. Skeletons of vultures and other exotic birds can be found placed upon and within bookshelves and desks while a crackling fire roars from within a fanciful stone fireplace. A vast painting of a ferocious tiger hangs above the fireplace, perhaps a sign of things to come. A "grand" chandelier (It's covered in spider webs and dust) hangs from the center of the ceiling as we continue to wind through the queue of this remote jungle outpost. Well it's not really remote judging by the fact that it's in the middle of a fishing village, but in a way it is remote because the fishing village it's in is on a remote desert island in the middle of a remote area of the remote Pacific. So yes this is a remote jungle outpost we are traveling through indeed.

Towards the exit of this library is a table one could normally find in the living room of a modern American family. A coffee-table like piece of furniture decorated by nice tablecloth topped by family portraits and pictures. Well this object is similar, only it is filled with photographs of explorers and tropical locations from around the world rather than family members and friends to that particular family. I'd feel sorry if some random family lived in this particular boathouse.

Some photographs lying upon this table include a photograph of famed billionaire and explorer Harrison Hightower III and the cursed idol Shiriki Untundu. Hotel Hightower, the residence of Mr. Hightower appears in its own little photograph upon the waters of the distant American Waterfront. Lord Henry Mystic of Mystic Point is featured in his very own photograph. The famed Temple of the Forbidden Eye located in the far off country of India appears amongst the dense foliage of the Lost River Delta. A rather small painting of a high class man by the name of Master Gracey and a photograph of a very attractive young couple on a ship at sea all appear here as well. A stuffed harpy eagle sits in the middle of the table shooing us out of this mysterious library of years past and into the outside world before us.

We are now on a sheltered dock overlooking the dense jungles and waterways of Paradise Springs. Rumbling boats pull into the dock, dumping off passengers and picking up passengers, setting off from and into the heart of the unknown. One of these very boats is waiting for us to board for our own journey into the unknown.

I can tell you one thing, the suspense is killing me!

Music Loop

Again I really enjoy comments, followers, and feedback, so please don't be quiet, I really want to hear from you all! :D

So here is a music loop of what one may hear in the queue of the Jungle Cruise since I just finished my overview of the queue. It's kind of a bunch of different 1930's music including some from the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror queue!

http://www.youtube.com/user/MANEATINGWREATH#g/c/D163DC1DFD516490

You can find the playlist on my channel, right underneath my uploads and favorites selections.

Ok so that's what one can hear in the queue for the Jungle Cruise! Some of the songs create an unsettling mood while others don't. Songs shown that don't have the crackling sound will be given crackling sound so it seems as if a phonograph is actually playing them.

There also quite a few things that need to be specified on the playlist. Any talking or dialogue will be removed unless it is necessary for the songs. Also the Indiana Jones Queue audio is only there for two reasons. Well number one the jungle sound effects at the beginning of the jungle are going to come from the jungles of the Jungle Cruise. You can hear them quite well as you wait in the queue. There's also "(I've Got Spurs) Jingle, Jangle" in there too and that is one of the phonograph songs so go figure. The Pirates of the Caribbean audio is only there as the Blue Bayou sound effects will emit from the jungle only at night, joining and mixing in with the Indiana Jones jungle sound effects. Also that annoying bird one can always hear in the Jungle Cruise jungle will be a both day and night sound. You know the one that I'm talking about right? The whistle that raises up then goes down. I couldn't find any audio for it so go figure.

The black and white ride on the Jungle Cruise is there too only for one reason. The background music which will be remastered for the phonograph crackling. Thurl Ravenscroft's voice will be taken out along with all of the jungle sound effects. The music (Including the Hawaiian song at the end) will remain exactly as it is minus the crackling sound effects addition.

The queue music can be heard in every room and hallway of the queue (Including the loading area even if it is just played faintly and quietly) but most prominently in the mailing room and the library as they are both appropriate settings for such kinds of music.

Question

Hello, is anybody out there in internet land? :lookaroun

So now I'm a little bit stumped on the Jungle Cruise. Should the boats travel counter clockwise around the river, or clockwise around the river like they do at Tokyo Disneyland. I kind of like the clockwise idea myself, but the counter clockwise route is more traditional. What is your opinion on this matter?

Also if any of you have ideas for sight gags or scenes please let me know ASAP, I'm just dying to hear your suggestions. :D

Yes
I'm still here! :wave:

To be quite honest, though, I'm more of a big-picture (Jim Halpert :)) person; so, this is a little less exciting to read and respond. I didn't even know that the boats traveled counter-clockwise in most Cruises, actually.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I'll hang back until there's some more action around these parts.

Alrighty then, I'm actually going to take a break from the Jungle Cruise soon and post my overview of Frontierland. This is when my time permits though. Expect to see some pretty cool things in the wildest land in the wilderness! :D

Frontierland

I just realized that my overview of Frontierland is going to take a very long time indeed. The second I find the time to do it, I am going to do it. I apologize for putting this whole thread on a big long hold, I know how annoying that is. I actually plan to complete this one though. I've had Dream Disney Resort threads before but none of them were ever completed. I really plan to do the best I can in finishing this one. However Walt Disney said Disneyland will never be complete as long as their is imagination left in the world, so that goes the same for my park as well. Also you guys will start getting involved when the park is finished and over with. But more on that later, meaning much later.

Also remember that Kermit and I have two separate resorts, not one big one that we're working on together. Mine is different and his is different, it's as simple as one, two, three.

How come you posted this in two different threads at the same time? I mean, its good- very attraction heavy, but this is kinda meant to be MEW's Dream Disney Resort. :)

Wow that was a huge bump, sorry for letting this thread die so fast! Anyways please don't ban me WDW I was just trying to get this thread up and running again because the ideas are coming back to me. Forgive me if I created any problems for you guys.

Anyways I guess it's time to get this thread back up and running. Due to various problems in my life (I was doing a musical, an essay, a history project, church stuff, a drama competition, a choir festival, and a bunch of other homework all in one month) I had to put this thread and hold long ago. Thanks to my decision the entire thing disappeared from sight. But now I have decided to bring it back! I believe I left off at Frontierland so I'll start by surfacing that (FINALLY!) from my mind! Forgive me if it gets confusing at times.

Actually I'm not feeling very well today (I'm home sick) so I will begin typing up the description later on today...hopefully...

Totally forgot about those, thanks for reminding me! :)

Yes so I will need some suggestions and requests for those lands. To all my previous followers please come back, I'm really looking forward to bring this stuff back to the light of day!

Expect to see Frontierland later on today, more than likely around five or four-thirty. I get home from school around three-thirty so it will take me a while to type it all up at once. But do expect to see it today!
