Hello everyone!!

Just a random thought............

If you were one of the select few Disney cast members designing the next Walt Disney World Resort, what Resort theme would you pick?? (considering what themes have already been used). If enough people reply, then I will announce the top 3 suggestions!!

Looking forward to hear all your ideas.

I always wanted to see somethign like that, with spooky calls in the middle of the night, if you want that anyway. They could put images in the mirrors and set up machines in the walls to knock and make noise footsteps etc. It would be so much fun for me anyway. and you could stop it all by calling the front desk and saying im a chicken!!

I think that the next resort built should be Disney's All-Star Television Resort. So far they have sports, music, and movies so this adds to that. If it was built, there should be a 'The Simpsons' area with a pool and everythng. That would be awesome!

Great Idea! I'm watching the Simpsons right now. I would love that. I would also like to see SNL and some great 80's cartoons.

Wow! So many great ideas! It is hard to come up with one of my own... Of the ones mentioned already, I like the Greek Theme a lot! That would be absolutely beautiful! The Venitian theme would be great. They could have bridges in the lobby with water underneath. The Atlantis theme is a great idea, too. How about a Dinosaur themed hotel? It would appeal to younger kids, but I'm sure they could make it really neat and could go along with AK's Dinosaur area. Or maybe something to tie in with the new Everest ride? Ok..maybe the dinosaur idea isn't good, but I could not think of anything that hasn't already been mentioned. I think my imagination is broken or at least in a coma right now. I like everyone else's ideas!

I love all the ideas that have already been posted, particularly Pippa's castle/moat idea. Adding onto the Cinderella's house / Haunted Mansion concepts ...

How about a Walt Disney World themed resort? As in, a resort themed after the WDW area itself. You could have four main buildings - one each for the MK, Ep, DS, AK - the facades of which would be replicas of each park's icon. The floor of each building would represent a different area from the park. Each building would have two elevators ... one for standby and one for FastPass (concierge-level) guests.

The three pool areas, naturally, would be themed after BB, TL, and RC. The arcade? An abridged version of DisneyQuest, of course.

Too meta, perhaps? :D

I would love to see a resort built into the apartments on main street's 2nd floor. Two way glass so that you could beat the heat while watching everyone else strolling down Main Street. Walking down a flight onto the best Street in the world. Taking a morning walk in my pj's b4 park opens to get some fresh air. Yeah I know, never happen. But you did ask for my dream resort. Couldn't stay in the apartment built for Walt, sacrilege you know.

I'm not sure if ths would go more with AK's Dinoland or as a wing of Pop Century, but how about a Route 66 theme. You could stay in those big TeePee's or in a DIsneyfied Road side Motel. You could eat in the local Diner. Swim in the Motel pool .For decorations they could have the Worlds Largest Frying Pan or ball of String.

Or how about a San Francisco themed resort. They could have the Golden Gate bridge,Golden Gate park, Cable cars for on resort transportation, Victorian style buildings. Union Square for shopping, Could be built on lake to resemble S.F. Bay/Fishermans Warf. You could have fishing boats at a dock and seafood Restaurants. The pool could have a Alcatraz theme( no current or sharks) Then every day at 3:00 it could get foggy and you would freeze your but off :) If this was built on a Monorail track you could have the Monorail enter the resort across the Golden Gate like DCA. Hey the copy everything else!

I love the wild west, Italy and the Atlantis ideas! Great Ideas on here!!

HERE WE ARE....THE RESULTS YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR

YOU ALL HAD SOME GREAT IDEAS!

In 1st place:(so far)
The Grecian theme and the Atlantis theme (same number of votes)

In 2nd place:
The TOT/ HM/ 1920s era resort theme -how great would that be?!

In 3rd place:
The Bavarian village resort /european themed resort

Closely followed by the Medieval Castle theme, NYC theme and Wild West theme.

The idea of a pirate boat in the middle of Bay Lake was certainly interesting!!

and if there are any WDW cast members looking for ideas for upcoming resorts....

The idea of a castle is cool and all, but that would take away from the magic of seeing Cinderella's Castle IMHO. As for the Grecian theme, I don't have an opinion on that one. The Atlantis one would be cool as long as it's nothing like the one in the Bahama's. I want it to be Disney, something original. A 1920/ToT/HM resort, yeah that would be a cool idea, but how many people do you think would really pay to be spooked every night on their vacation and get no sleep. It might be a fun one-nighter but I don't see it as a 100% occupied resort during peak times. Now for those of you who read all my posts (which is no one) I would love the alpine/Swiss/chateau type resort. I lived the first 4 years of my life (moved to Switzerland when I was 3 months old) in Europe and I love the Swiss buildings. You know, the brown faced ones with flower boxes all over. They could have the Jet D'eau by the pool (the real one in Lake Geneva shoots water taller than the Statue of Liberty). Since the weather is perfect, they could always have flowers in the flower boxes. For entertainment, they could have people yodeling and playing on the alphorn. Since Switzerland is very diverse (it has three official languages: French, German and Italian) there are so many possibilites there. Walt must have had some loev for Switzerland as he used their Matterhorn in his original park. Anyone else with me on this one?

Too many good choices

Good summary Wishes. There are so many opportunities here, its just a matter of prioritization. I would put ancient Greece first followed by a Mideval/Castle theme.

I would be split between Bavaria/Venice/Paris so would think to compromise in a combined "European" Resort, where in one resort you choose your section with a central courtyard or plaza or city central that is similar in most Western European countries. There you could have your central services, restaurants and a meeting place for the resort.

I love the idea of a Haunted Mansion type area, and while fun for (some) adults, I think it would be too exclusive. Just think of the kids being terrified the whole trip with wolves howling throughout the property, goulish staff, cobwebs in your rooms (freshened daily of course) and tombstones on your way to transportation.

Likewise I would defer on any American regional area as not being different enough. For 1920's you have Grand Floridian. A wild west town would be interesting...just pump in the aromas of a stable throughtout the resort

 First post.

Anyways, I have always thought about this resort idea. I really like the ToT one. Since people may not want to stay in a creepy place, it could be a ToT pre-accident. You know, when the Hollywood Tower Hotel would have been at its prime. There could be a Tip-top Club banner by the elevators in the lobby and even a Dinner Club restaurant bearing the name on the hotel's top floor. I love this idea because I *love* the whole 20's period and its music--think "The Great Gatsby." Then you could go ride the ToT and see the place after all the creepiness set in.

I also like the medieval castle theme too.
