Hello everyone!!

Just a random thought............

If you were one of the select few Disney cast members designing the next Walt Disney World Resort, what Resort theme would you pick?? (considering what themes have already been used). If enough people reply, then I will announce the top 3 suggestions!!

Looking forward to hear all your ideas.

Being from NY, I'd also like to see a NYC theme, but we get a small feel for NY in MGM. :

An NYC theme would be AWESOME!!! Especially if New York wins the 2012 Olympics! (I hope they do!) The possibilities are endles. Hey, I'd better hit the graph paper!

By the way, are you from the in city or the suburbs?

i agree with the aforementioned European themed hotel. also a classic Hollywood style (similar to ToT) would be cool. another possibility might be an ultra-modern resort, that kinda plays up on the Tomorrowland theme. since i haven't stayed in the contemporary (just visited the monorail concourse) i'm not sure how modern the rooms and such are for comparison

How about a spacestation to go together with future world in EPCOT. In the main building you could have fake windows that make it seem as if your looking out into space. It could have that neo-futuristc tomorrowland feel with all the gold and neons. The main entrance could be a docking bay with an air lock.

Or, a Moorish/Turkish hotel with all of the classic architecture, fountains, and walls made of Mosaic tiles like Morooco in EPCOT. I would stay there in an instant.

I like the space/futuristic themed hotel idea and the atlantis themed hotel idea!

I think an undersea theme would be awesome for a hotel. It could have colorful fish painted on the walls and maybe even a real aquarium in the hotel lobby filled with exotic colorful fish.

You took the words right out of my mouth, i always wanted to see a haunted mansion theme also, the different areas could be differently levels of scary to make it family-friendly but that resort would sell out daily.

EEK! yess i love it!!!!!!!

Disney's Field of Concrete - bunk down on an authentic field of concrete for the ultimate "roughing it" expeirence!

Disney's World of Confusion - this hotel, the only one of it's kind in the world, features rooms and halls on silent, imperceptible lifts and turntables, moving perpetually all day long into new and surprising positions. Every night, getting to your room can be an ADVENTURE!

j/k. :D

a 1920's themed resort would, I think, be the most appealing for me.

Actually the world of Confusion could very well be Hogwart's from the Harry Potter books & movies, with the moving stairwells etc. It would be an insurance nightmare though!!!! Belle

How about a Biblical Theme:

For a themed area - The Tower of Babul ride, Daniel and the Lion's Den show Spectacular and Dinner Theater, The Red Sea Interactive Water Ride, Jesus Feeds the 5000 Fish Market Resteraunt and Bistro, David Sings the Psalm's Show and Revue, etc.

For a Resort, areas like Old Jerusalem, Nazareth, Jericho, etc.

I have two other suggestions:

1) A Cave Man Era type of theme

Hotels of "Rock", "Cave" Rooms, "Hot Springs/Tar Pit" pool area , etc.
How fun it would be to be a cast member at that type of resort. Ugh, me like

2) An Egyptian Theme

Pyramid main building, statues all around, the Nile going through the resort grounds, etc.

I also like Bavarian village, Greece and Atlantis themes. I would like the Venetian theme more if it had not already been done very well in Vegas.

For an ultra value resort a communist era Siberian theme would be best. you would have to break rocks to earn your way out for the day.

You've clearly never been to the Holy Land Expierence (or, as we locals like to call it, The Holy S@#* Expierence...). :p

You are correct. I have not been, but I do recall hearing something about it.

How about a German theme? A Big Festhaus with an oompa band and Brats out the ying-yang.

I looooove the Haunted Mansion theme! I would definitely stay there. The higher up you go, the scarier it gets. Of course, the 13th floor would be the top floor and be the ultimate in scary. And the elevators could be creepy as well...flickering lights, bouncing when stopping. Hey, wait, the elevators at work do that!!! :hammer:
