Dream Along With Mickey Closing

It doesn't make sense for DAWM to close April 2nd. I figured the show would end and than the new show would start the next day
From the look of the art, doesn't it look like the castle railings will be new? Everything's looks so clean and shiny in the art. Could that be the reason for the downtime, to clean the castle stage and add the new railings??? Or are they not going to do anything in the downtime but rehearse and the downtime between shows is considered a "Cut" since we've been using that word a lot this weekend??
SO GLAD they came out with this today, so we know that A. DAWM is ending , with something coming after it. and B. it's not just a frozen show without Mickey!

But the arches are ugly and still there it makes little difference to me.

If they did, you know people would complain about them not having a replacement show.
True, some people will complain about any change. There are always to sides to every change though. Disney could've billed the castle show removal as "atmosphere enhancement" which is what it woul be in my mind.

I'm just glad that Rapunzel is getting a little more love. I'm one of the rare few that thought Tangled was better than Frozen. A question though: I thought Disney was trying to cater a little more to the male crowd and that's why you see a lot of pirates in shows and parades. I know the whole plot hasn't been announced yet, but it seems like it's a princess show. Thoughts?

Males don't like seeing Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa, and Tiana?

Frozen and Tangled have both proven to be very popular with boys. It looks like from the concept art the Tangled section will focus on the thugs and ruffians which is pretty boy centric is you ask me. Also Frozen has Olaf going for it which boys and girls love. Princess and the Frog is pretty neutral in my opinion, not overly girly or princessly, but not too boy centric either.

And lest we forget, Mickey will still be the lead. Everyone loves Mickey.

This is just based off the males I know, so I know it doesn't count for the majority, but most of the males I know do not like the Princess and the Frog and Tangled gets a shoulder shrug. The younger ones definitely don't care about Anna and Elsa; they tend to play with their trucks until Olaf comes on screen. Sometimes they ask me to fast forward to Olaf. I was just wondering if the entire show would hold an appeal for the males. It seemed like the pirates (although overused) leaned a little more towards boys. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

They enjoy seeing them at a certain point in their lives. :p But in all seriousness they really don't like it. Not trying to play with stereotypes but it seems most boys will not be willing to watch a show with princesses singing. But it won't be a total bust. Boys can get in line for rides while many watch the show.

I think to an extent. I'm sure it depends on the boy (or girl). Disney is known for their characters and they are using them for a show. There is so much gender neutral stuff in Disney that I don't think we should be complaining about this.
