Once again...it’s gonna take awhile. They had to investigate the dragon and really figure out what happened/went wrong/and how that can be prevented from happening again. Then take the time to refurbish the float and make sure it’s show ready again and safe for the Cast. Better safe than sorry and taking their time is the best option rather than rushing.

They could put the dragon back in the parade without the fire effect until they find way to make it safe.

Well when they haven’t been able to do any work on the dragon because it’s been under investigation...yes.
This is correct. knowing Disney, The dragon is under intensive investigation and until the are confident they know they root cause of the fire, no one is touching that dragon to begin making it show ready again.

They know the reason for the accident and found it out fairly early. The suppression system worked exactly the way it was supposed to by keeping the flames above the crowd. It’s a fairly easy fix but I have no idea what the exact damage to the dragon is or how long it would take to make him show ready. It’s either coming back the same as it was with the same system in place, only a little more inspection on the regulator and connectors or back without the fire permanently so they don’t have to worry about it ever happening again.

Know what caused it is easy. Knowing how to prevent it from repeating is harder. They are not going to rebuild as it and just hope it does not happen again.
