Oh, I see. :)

So PI will soon be tossing all of its nightclubs?

I shouldn't have said soon, because soon for me is a matter of years (I guess I'm just that patient), but if what I've heard is right, yes.

McDonald's???? Please, please, please........ ;)

Wishful thinking? Unfortunately, that McDonalds won't be going anywhere soon... If anything, I forsee them giving it our Orlando Bistro Gourmet/McDonalds treatment within the next year and a half. If that happens, we will be much better off for that location. :D

Get a clue. It is not working. Who would be a fool and pay the full admission price of $37 to go into a building that does not have all the rides and games working all the time. The reason why they included it on the park hopper option is to hope guests will spend what little money they have left on crappy gifts is the shop or the expensive cheescake food. The same reason on including PI.
1.Um, I have more than a clue, thank you. Ug. :dazzle: That's quite a tone for a new poster who has no idea who I am or anyone else here is
2.You can walk through the shop at DQ w/o visiting the building
3.the cheesecake factory was not owned by disney, so the only profit off of that would be the lease
4.I'm assuming you haven't been in there lately because there's a very high amount of new games AND the state of repair has been much better than in previous years, about on par with the parks
5.Many DONT pay full admission price to get in, but even if a 1/4 of the admission price is paid, money is still coming in and profit being made considering the high amount of traffic it receives and since DQ operates on a fixed cost
Care to try again for me?

$1 says it's the Virgin Megastore
You may be right! The megastore hasn't been doing good lately profit wise, and lots of things point to the removal of the store. I'd hate for that to happen though because that's a pretty good store nonetheless.

I hope they get rid of the Internet Stations in there. You can never find a table to eat because of the all the chaperones hogging the tables playing online games.

As much as I hate "Do you know who I am" people -- this was TOTALLY JUSTIFIED. And funny.

Not saying I'm anyone special. Certainly not Joe Rhode, Jay Rasulo, or someone that can afford to drive an Aston Martin without selling my house... Just saying how does the poster know?

I've used it a few times as a place to hang out while waiting for the Adventurers Club to open, but the one time I wanted to buy something, they didn't have it (I wanted to buy Stephen Colbert's "I am America and So can You" on it's release day.)

I may be wrong, but isn't the Megastore slated to be an Apple store? For some reason I remember hearing that somewhere.
Does Apple have enough products to fill that huge building?

I've just read the DoingFlorida story (they've updated it today) and to be fair they do say its a rumour. I often wonder if Disney start these rumours themselves to see what the reaction will be.

To be honest I wouldn't mind if DisneyQuest changed to something else. We've only been once and never bothered again. It never seems to look that busy either. Just out of curiosity what is an ESPN Zone anyway? Is it just a restaurant?

Here's my question... why on earth did they stick Cheesecake Factory in DQ in the first place?? I LOOOOOOVE CF... they would do so much better with a little place somewhere on the main strip... where you don't need admission to get to it!

That's a shame, because the food there is my favorite at Downtown Disney. I wish it was accessible from outside DisneyQuest. I think a real Cheesecake Factory would be nice, but it isn't quite unique enough to belong among the array of restaurants there, though. It's just a little too "mall-ish."

I really, really, really want ESPN Zone! I hope this happens sooner rather than later. That would be worth losing two or three of the dance clubs for.

Saw this in Doing Florida, and before it starts, Quest is not closing in June. The F&B is being taken over by DTD F&B since the contract w/Cheesecake Factory is up. This will actually create positive changes and a REAL menu at the location, as well as the posibility of drinks, :slurp: of the adult nature. WOohoO!

As far as I know that site just reproduces news from other sites, nothing originates there.

Hmmm, two proven sources on this site give information that contradicts what you think. You lose.
